One of my main hopes with Mualani (or rather, Natlan as a whole) is FINALLY replacing Xiangling and Bennett as off-field pyro buffers. Or at the very least, alternatives that don't feel super half-baked and ultra niche. In my very limited testing, I've been doing the "Burning Shark" variation - Mualani, Dehya, Nahida, flex (I don't have Emiliie or Baizhu, so I've used Kazuha, Kachina, etc) and it feels pretty comfy, and not having to worry about particle and ER management like with Xiangling is very nice. I hadn't considered a double geo team, perhaps I'll try that next! Mualani, Dehya, Kachina and Zhongli sounds like it could also be very comfy and powerful!

As a fellow xiangling and bennett refuser, she works really well with dehya since her nukes make use of dehya's long Pyro application. I'll have to try that double geo team too actually.

@@CrazyNuggetLady Yeah! I really wish I could get more copies of Dehya to make her stronger. I always liked Dehya but was only able to get her recently, thanks to the free selector. The main issue I could see with using Dehya/Geo/Geo is that Dehya's skill doesn't always seem to activate from Mualani's sharky bites - that's why you pair her with Nahida for the prolonged burning. I'll need to mess around some more, though. Natlan has been awesome so far and I can't wait to see what other team combos can work.

As a mobile only player I can say her controls doesn't feel clunky at all. Sure we'll occasionally press the wrong button like when trying to rotate the camera to end activating another character burst but aside from that she feels and moves pretty well. . Side note: her soulnight energy might be a problem, compared to her trial, it might be more scarce in the world or in domains.

Still playing Hu Tao and I see Mualani bringing me just as much joy as her. Pure dopamine which this game didnt give me for so long. Sorry Neuvillete, but you are going to get benched except for fights with more than 4 enemies per wave. After playing the first part kf the Archon quest, there is no way they do not power creep Xiangling with the pyro Archon and make her THE enabler for Mualani, right? This is literally all I want from Natlan right now.

Honestly...she's a fun unit to play with, and for me it's more than enough. Even with the proto amber + nahida + emilie + dehya, my level 70 (not ascended) Mualani reached a decent 120K damage with a 3 stacks chomp. I don't see me taking her in Abyss honestly, but again, fun unit, great animations, room for growth. Can't wait. Thanks for the guide!

Point of clarification: Yaxche is a Mayan word (it's the tree of life), so the x is pronounced 'sh' as in shell, so the word sounds more like "Yash-chay" which is also easier to say.

Mualani / Xiangling / Dehya / Zhongli has been working really well for me and seems to be fairly consistent in getting reverse-vapes. I tried some of the nahida teams and it just wasn't very consistent and I was missing a lot of vapes. Highest dps ceiling seemed to be Mualani / Xiangling / Furina / Jean but both Xiangling and Furina seemed to be suffering from energy issues.

I can confirm that mualani is extremely strong since my mualani is just lvl 50 and her talents levels are 1/1/2 with 2 piece mauchasse hunter and 2 piece golden trope that I totally didn't steal from my furina and neuvi and my mualani did a whooping 130k, even though she did it with supports it's still a lot for a lvl 50 char

Yaxche is a real life word, it's a Mayan word that means Green Tree, and it's pronounced yähsh-Chuh - you want to say the first part like it rhymes with Josh, the second part like duh. yäshchuh, Yaxche. Hope this helps =) P.s. you'll notice a lot of Nathan names are based on the Quiché Mayan language, so when you see an x, it's probably pronounced as an SH, as in Xbalanque(Shi-buh-lon-kay)

14:13 I'm sorry, but how much ER is on that solo pyro Xiangling? How nerfed is her damage? As much as I want to use Xiangling for her, I just don't feel well with nerfing Xiangling so much. Also against those Wayob which we will definitely meet in the Abyss and the Theater later, isn't Xiangling a very horrible choice? I can just imagine how agonizing it will be to rely on burst reliant pyro applications against enemies that rob your energy on a character that already has energy problems in a team with no other pyro to help funnel energy to her.

Xiangling damage is irrelevant in this team. You have to build full ER,ignoring all other stats. 270%+ Its ok though,you can just respec xiangling back into damage build when you want to play another team😉

In other element applier's case you don't just say "their damage is irrelevant" because one, that's just not true and two, we don't say the same things with characters like Yelan and Xingqui. Their job is to apply hydro but we don't forsake their dmg either because their dmg is a sizeable part of the whole team's damage. The fact that to make Xiangling work with Mualani, I need to nerf her damage is the part that's making me hesitate with using her with Mualani when I could just use Xiangling on other teams that won't need me to do that sacrifice. Also you suggest changing artifacts when needed, as if that isn't tedious and annoying. You do know that players are asking for an artifact loadout system for that exact reason right? Precisely because they don't like doing that because of how annoying it is.
