I remember dumping hours into this game with my brother growing up, because 2006 was like peak Naruto making its run on Toonami at the time, time. Couldn't get enough Naruto back then. Getting jumped on the map every few steps did get repetitive though, agreed.

I LOVED THIS GAME AS A KID! But it's a HARD son of a BITCH! It took me, no shit, an entire year just to beat it. Like the comments said in your live stream, this is Dark Souls before Dark Souls became a game. This game doesn't bullshit around with it's hard difficulty. Aside from that, I thought the gameplay was fine. Could have been better. Wish you could have played as the other characters a bit more. Instead of being under a time limit. The RGP limits were fun! I just came off of the Final Fantasy games, especially Final Fantasy X at that time. So seeing that in a Naruto game, was thrilling to see. The boss fights are good, but TOO DAMN difficult! I hated Kabuto the most! His constant healing ability REALLY drive me crazy! And I think you have to fight him 3 times! Dude seriously gave me PTSD! Fuck Kabuto in this game lol Also, I was disappointed that there wasn't no hub worlds. After playing the Ultimate Ninja games on PS2, I was hoping the hub worlds in this game would be massive. With these kinds of graphics, I would have loved to explore the Konoha village in this art style. The whole "Power Strike" thing not being called the Rasengan, was hilarious to me and my friends and my brother lol we always that it was a type O on their mistake! Looking back on it, it's still funny as hell. Over all, Uzumaki Chronicles is a fine game. I only recommend it to the hardcore Naruto fans, who REALLY wants a challenge. If this game ever got a Remaster (which it won't lol), I totally buy it again. I just ask to lower the difficulty a bit. Just a little....please?

Yeah the bosses difficulty was insane in my opinion as well. Heck I lost to Choji, who was the 1st boss of the game and then later to Neji 😭After playing this game I as well have a distaste for Kabuto and his whole healing jutsu 😂 Happy to hear that you have good memories of this game!

I've played this game a good couple times, I think that as beat-em-ups go that it's okay at best and mediocre at worst, I think that the combat can get a little repetitive at times, I feel that what would've enhanced the game a little is being able to level up your stats with the Virtue you collect, you can level up your HP and Chakra with Virtue sure but this increase doesn't carry over into a New Game+ so I personally don't bother doing that. Personally as far as the in-game shop goes, I prefer having a more traditional currency system. I'm also not a fan of your allies running on a stamina system compared to Naruto who doesn't run on this system at all. I like that the game adds a little bit of platforming into the mix in the later parts of the game as clunky as it can be at times, to mitigate some issues with the platforming I equip the Air Dash skill chip to cover more distance in the air.

The teammate mechanics and the shop are really weird in this game. Thankfully it isn't the case in the 2nd game

So the people who made the original Nier game also made this series. That would explain why the combat feels junky lol. Still I loved this game when I was a kid. I really wish they would go make to making Naruto games like this and the Ubisoft ones instead of just arena fighters.

I agree, the Uzumaki Chronicles and Xbox exclusives are the most interesting Naruto games from the whole bunch of Naruto games we have

I beat the game once the greatest memory of this I have is switching to Kakashi in the final boss fight and one shotting orochimaru with raikiri. it was very anticlimactic and totaly on accident since that's the first time you use him(???) may Apparently with the right timing it's a one shot kill move looking at the vid am I wrong? haven't played this in 18 years haha loved it though eve the skill system hahahaha the bs boss jutsu of sasuke and neji the ptsd 60 % of the story thats sad

I think, when I used kakashi I spammed "One Thousand Years of Death" which was a 1 hit kill or took like 50% of the HP from bosses. 😂
