It's worth mentioning that the movement attacks attached to your "Y" or "Triangle" button count as a dodge. The timing is difficult to do consistently but it's so rewarding.
@greatmilenko1327 Жыл бұрын
The spring also allows you to do basic attacks while charging. You can spring launch yourself with an attack and you do 2 overhead attacks followed by 1 basic attack and it counts as a fully charged heavy hit. And it charges faster than if you sat still to charge. Also weaves in dps in between charges
@ehrun0733 Жыл бұрын
The half charge slash is incredibly useful especially because you dash to close the distance. I find that it outputs more dps than full charge if the monster isn't stunned, kod or trapped.

One thing I really like is how you can still use your Square and Triangle attacks while charging, and that landing hits while charging *boosts the charge gauge.* You're ready to launch straight into a fully charged slash after like one Square combo, it's glorious and I'm honestly surprised it wasn't mentioned, I'm convinced it's the fastest way to max your charge gauge and i distinctly recall it being in the Training Bear tutorial. I'm not usually a big fan of the big bunga blades in hunting RPGs, but my god, I think I actually really like this.

@Casshern_Sin Жыл бұрын
@@ricklubbers7761 Why do you think I said this in the first place. Holding R2 stationary is approx 5 seconds charge. Holding R2 and moving causes the bar to charge much slower. Holding R2 while attacking makes the bar jump in faster chunks, but the difference between dps charge and stationary charge is extremely marginal and still hovers around 5 seconds. It just feels faster as you're actively moving. There's another video out there demonstrating this with parallel bars. Go test it honestly and come back when you know what you're talking about.

honestly i find this weapon really fast to use. using the charge mechanics you can build up for a BIG hitter as a reward for knowing when and how to dodge and time to attack between them. i find myself verry rarely now waiting to charge. i set the charge off and get some hits in and no matter what you can let go of the charge for an earlyer swing that will happen no matter what animation you are in of your attacks, doing so gets you out of the way with a high dammage slash and moves you more. now thread this in with the karakuri and brother, this weapon was made to be used with them. from the springs tripple hit attack (4 if you time your charge release just after the second swing. for example, use spring, do light attack, you do two spin attacks and right as you do the first or very quickly after the second slash, you release your charge to do the dubble spin, this is not only great for mobility and dps but can get you often at times out of its next attack so you can get in another tripple hit then big boom attack, the box lunge works great for dodging a hit and nailing high up enemys or high up brakable parts, and the multi slash you can do from the glider too) all of this flows together that i find it hard to stand around and only do the charge mechanics when in reality im Zipping allover this monster like its dule blades from MH rise and been rewarded with high dammage and super dammage for knowing how to manuver round the monster. thank you for reading something that most will find dumb or ass buggertry (also yes spellings not the best, cry about it)
