Solid build. Disclaimer on this comment: I'm looking at building out my own so I'm thinking thru things and trying to think thru how to have unit that is campground friendly and also off grid friendly. I would have flipped the kitchen and any utilities and move the tent entry to the back side of the trailer. If you ever decided to use it in a campground on longer trips, most fire rings and tables will be on the passenger side and electrical will be on the driver. If you get a full hookup site by accident, the sewer would also be on the driver.

As I mentioned prior, I was looking at one of these and actually did purchase it and I’m picking it up on Sunday so looking over some of the build you did is very intriguing. I really like the blue yeti bat system as I use some of their standalone things now in the kitchen set up was very impressive.

@AdventureRocks

Thanks! I store the Blackstone in the back compartment in front of fridge... Just barely fits. I store the sink in the drawer there instead when in transit. The kitchen slide will barely fit one of those tiny Zureka camp stoves, so you're right, pretty tight. Would be nice if the griddle could slide in there!

Nice build! I would love to learn more about the wood table that you have on the fender and the brackets you used to secure it. Additionally, do you have a link for the multi color lights you used?
@AdventureRocks
@AdventureRocks 10 ай бұрын
Thank you, appreciate it! For table I used one already made as I like the bamboo look, but you can of course make your own. Below are the parts I used. Basically it's stainless steel table bracket and you just have to get the placement right so that table rests on fender using the stops/feet on bottom. The brackets take a little getting used to how they lock/unlock at least for me, but you basically push on the table horizontally while lifting and that releases the pressure. Think I had to buy my own stainless fasteners to secure to trailer. It's worked out great though, super solid and don't have to worry about it coming loose even with a lot of weight on it. I am about 90% on acquiring the Scout. Do you know the maximum width of the spare tire holder? I have 285 MTs on my Runner and want to carry my full size spare on the trailer. You mentioned your height at about 6ft, can you walk under the awning without ducking at full height? Great video, thanks for the detailed walk around!
@AdventureRocks
@AdventureRocks 5 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yes it is 13-3/8" on spare tire holder. I've got my awning mount set just a little lower closer to 6'6", so I can just barely walk under it without ducking factoring in the pitch. You can of course raise height too. My mount is fabricated, but uses the existing OEM stake pockets. The OEM one can adjust up and down as well. The Scout is a great value overall, a lot of fun.

Thank you. It's a fun trailer. For the table, basically it's stainless steel table bracket separate from the KingCamp table and you just have to get the placement right so that table rests on fender using the stops/feet on bottom. How did you install 270 awning? Thanks for the video!
@AdventureRocks
@AdventureRocks Жыл бұрын
Sure, no problem. I took out the OEM awning tubes that came with it (just the part that inserts into the pockets for the RTT structure). Then I took plain tubular steel same diameter, 24" in length and fabricated them to fit inside the pockets with the adjustment holes/pins. Then I mounted the awning right to the same square tubes at top...no additional L brackets or anything else...so back of 270 degree awning (extruded aluminum) is sandwiched right against the same square tubes. I made small square cut-outs in the tube on back side to give access to the bolts for awning and then used plastic covers designed for tubular steel to cover the square holes to finish it out. Not sure if all that makes sense in words. I plan to eventually come back and do a review on awning so maybe I can do some close-ups to make it more clear. It looks real clean though and fits nicely against unit.

Just bungees...nothing fancy - amzn.to/48QyrzX I would have liked to make use of the mounts included with them, but they were too narrow/far in compared to my posts. If the track manufacturer would have made them a bit more versatile to clip in anywhere in the tracks then that would have been a lot nicer. So far though 4x on ea hold it fine going down highway.
