Tina Tran I bought my stuff at a local ski shop but I have also ordered online and that is great as well especially when the shops don’t have everything. Brands such as burton, marmot, columbia, north face, Patagonia, smartwool, spyder, and obermeyer are great! Hope that helped!

I ski and have only tried snowboarding once (didn't even ski the next day my butt was so sore haha) and I agree with all of these honestly. When I go ski I often see people with just some normal winter coat instead of a jacket and ski pants made for skiing and that's one of the biggest mistakes I think someone can make. A normal winter jacket isn't made for skiing and after a while will get wet (same goes for gloves) and it's the worst feeling when you're cold and wet.

Emil Degerth I mean sure some do but you don’t see them doing competitions in a hoodie. Plus the mountain is really cold unless you go towards the end of the season or if you’re on a smaller mountain so honestly going with a jacket just makes more sense and if you fall it protects your clothes from getting wet

Don‘t forget sunscreen and vaseline to protect your skin from the sun and cold wind! Although i live in the alps and go skiing and snowboarding every year there were still a few helpful tips i didn‘t know yet Btw my dad used to put cushions in my pants haha Love your videos 🌻

Is 1 coat of sunscreen sufficient under makeup? Or do you normally reapply? I'm going to the French Alps in a month 😬

heather tate Hey I always wore only one layer of sunscreen and it was okay for me! Be sure to have something high coverage!!

Maybe if you’re out all day you should wear one layer on the morning and reapply it after lunch and maybe again at 4pm. Even if it’s cloudy the sun is still really dangerous because it can get trough clouds. Be safe and have fun!!

Thin ski/snowboard socks are a must. The boots have tons of insulation. Your feet are only going to get cold because you aren't able to wick sweat. Also don't forget chapstick

under my ski suit I just wear a long sleeve tee and tights on the bottom(not leggings) that seems to keep me warm enough but i get warm easier. Beware: a couple of years ago I put too many layers on and i got heat rash on my belly.

You are soooo organised, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten to the mountain and been like “argh I didn’t bring gloves fuck” or forgotten socks or gone over seas, gotten to the resort and realised I only brought thermal pants 🙃🙃🙃 and you know how it is in Australia it’s not like you can just duck home and pick some up, it’s always a plane ride or 14 hours drive to get there 😂 in future I’m going to watch this video every time I pack to head to the snow 😂

@@marieosborne8028 yes, actually! my almost sister in law also went, it was her second year. we took a “basics” class together the first morning, totally worth it! i caught on really quickly, i’m pretty athletic, and she struggled.. but we both really enjoyed ourselves anyways. i wiped out A LOT😂 but it doesn’t really hurt because of the snow! just realllly sore the next day. as long as you learn to slow yourself down you’ll be okay! i had a hard time with that haha i felt like i was either stopped or going 60 mph lol i’m ready to go back this year!
