Bloodsport came in 1990 (*1988)- I too was 9 at that time. This is a movie I'll never forget! Van Damme was one of my childhood heroes, like he was for so many kids and young men at the time. Just hearing Paul Hertzog's music takes me instantly back down memory lane. Hail Van Damme and hail Paul Hertzog !

And since I was 8 I watched Rocky and at 12 my dad decided that it was the time I watch bloodsport, probably because of the violence he wanted me to watch it maybe at an older age. But since then I also watch it every year. I now practice Muay Thai and always try to do Van Damme kicks lol
