Robot vacs are not meant for that size of mess. They are awesome for day to day cleaning but for catastrophic messes like this you get a normal vacuum or a dust pan and broom. That being said my house has never been cleaner with mine.

I think it’s because the s9+ has brushes closer to the ground. The s9+ has much better deep cleaning on carpet floors. Any large pieces of debris will be hard for the roomba to clean.

The roombas are pretty loud for like 800 dollars. I used to have a roomba on 2020 then 2 years later it broke. After that, i chose an eufy robovac G30 verge because of the price and the user-friendly interface. The vacuum i got it a month later after the roomba broke. The tone sounded 👌. That was a heavy test for the robots. It was cool to see if you could max out these robots. Looks like the S9 maxed out. Great to see the I7 is such a workhorse. I think the S9 is set to low the ground which is it's down fall, hence causing the dirty sensors. I own the I7+ and really like it. Think I will still keep it. S9 still needs a fair amount of work. If they give the S9 a little more height I think it would rule the vacuum robot market. I really enjoyed watching this test.

The ave user won't have 25 lbs of rice to vacuum...lol with that said the S9+ has more vacuuming power for the deeper cleaning on carpets because it is lower. So if your trying to vacuum larger/heavier debris S9 may not be the best, but if you're trying to get a deeper clean on carpet for the dirt and finer dust i think S9 is one of the best.

BOYT TRAIN So iRobot will release Keep Out zones soon for the i7. I have it on my i7 but unfortunately they pulled the update due to some I7 getting bricked. So the only other way to keep the robot out is to use the smart maps to create a room divider, one side being the area the robot should clean and the other room/area label keep out and never select that area on the cleaning run. That the only work around I know beside the portable light houses

So the features you won’t get with the i7 is smart mapping aka room select and keep out zones. The self emptying system will work and the robot will clean the entire house using the controls on the robot. You won’t be able to move the robot to a different level until you tell it in the app using WiFi. If your smartphone has a mobile hotspot you can link up to that.
