Deion did it with travis hunter at jackson state, who was the #1 recruit in the country. Jackson state is barely subdivision. Deion is a great recruiter, and this guys coach excels at recruiting. His 5 star wasnt even the #1 recruit in the country. So yeah, its possible.

Redshirts stay at the same grade for an extra year, but at the expense of only being able to play 4 games that year. It should only be used in freshmen and sophomores you want to develop but not as a starter just yet

I am really excited. However, the statistical issues worry me a bit. For example, only a handful of players ran for over 1,000 yards. In real life, 45 players surpassed 1,000 rushing yards. Not to mention, 15 players achieved 10+ sacks last year, and in this video, nobody did. I know it's just from the beta, but I hope this is fixed and stats can be more realistic. I want to relive the old Wisconsin days and have nearly three players hit 1,000 rushing yards or go over 2,000 with one, but I don't know if that will be the case.

I actually dont really mind him landing some good recruits at a 1 star school because it cost him his entire recruiting budget and made his class extremely small. What I do have a problem with though is the elite prospects in the top 100 players not getting any interest at all making them essentially free commits... this is completely unrealistic and shouldnt be possible. If a player is in the top 25 at their position they should have a minimum of 5 respectable suitors no matter what.

Is it a problem with 3500 prospects then? That the AI finds someone else that's closer to home or matches their schools grades better that they don't even look at the dudes that's ranked top 25? I just assumed there would always be some 'low lock cheese' strats.

@@Cipher_8 yeah sure I think its totally fine for good players to sneak through the cracks and stay close to home especially in less prominent states, but even still those guys virtually always go to an instate power not the smallest school with a football program. For example last year of the top 400 recruits only 1 went to a non-power5/ND. I actually dont think this is an issue though anymore bc in online dynasty it will be impossible for this to happen since everyone will be fighting for all the best recruits and in offline its up to the player to decide if they want to play the game realistically or not.

@SuperMikeDitka ya like if I'm a bigger school I imagine part of the challenge to recruiting doesn't become getting the best talent but talent that fits your school so things like Deal-breakers become important to finding recruits that you can keep happy even if they are slightly less talented cuz who cares if it's a top 25 at the position if they will just transfer portal out after a few seasons cuz they're stuck behind starters (because bigger schools will have better players ahead of them most likely where small schools they'd start day 1.)

Only thing that is concerning and I am hoping that it is just because this is a beta build of the game. He picked the recruiting tree, but at the end of the year he got all those massive overall jumps for his players. Which made his team jump up to a 81 overall in just 1 year. That is the same overall as some power 4 schools. He didn't have to pick the motivator tree to get those overalls to jump that high. it seems like it happened to quick and easy to be on same overall as some power 4 schools in just one simmed season. Adding on landing a 5 star QB along those 4 star players.

This video got me so hyped. This is the first game that has me ready to get a current-gen console. I'm not even a big football fan and I will pick this game up even though I don't currently have a console to play it on. I mainly play on PC. This reminds me of how much fun I had building a dynasty in the College Hoops games back in the day. EA really needs to bring us an NCAA Basketball game now that they have the blueprint. I would even like to see San Diego Studios do a college baseball game so we'll have a college game for the big three sports like we did in the PS2 era.

I'm a little bummed that the recruiting still seems very unrealistic. Regardless of how many hours you spend, Kennesaw state isn't getting a 5 star in real life. I see nothing in the video that suggests the game is being played on "Easy", so I'm a little worried. I also don't care that he sacrificed a recruiting class for it. Landing two 4 stars and a 5 star is enough to propel you up into actually contending for a full recruiting class of those players the following season. Hopefully they make it harder.

It looks really damn good... but I seriously hope that recruiting isn't that easy to where you just find overlooked recruits and lock-out cheese them. Just feel like landing a five-star at Kennesaw State in year 1 is too easy for the difficulty the developers advertised early on. EDIT: I see now that he only had 6 commits by the end of the class and that most of the additional talent were transfers by the end. Missed it the first time around.

its not like bad schools cant get 5 stars also he only recruited a handfull of players while everyone avg out at 20 players or more so its obv hes gonna get atleast one

He recruited the top guys hard af and ended up with only 6 committed players when other teams had 25/30 guys. For example he got a 5 star QB but who the hell did he get to block for them? It’ll be more difficult than you think

Probably was just locked for this version of the beta he played. I would imagine they will give us more customization for players since they hyped that up a lot. Destiny beta had things locked down like this as well back in the day.

The one problem I have is not that it was easy to get the 5 star but that he wasn’t being heavily recruited by other top programs. Like no matter what the number 2 QB in the nation is gonna be recruited by the top programs no matter what.

These season sim stats are rough. Only 6 players rushed for over 1000 yards? In 2023, there were 45. Highest rushing TD's is 13, but there were 21 players with more than 13 rushing TD's in 2023. Also, the sack stats suck. Sack leader only has 8 and not a single defensive lineman with over 3 sacks? What? And probably the worst - only 6 total defensive TD's!? There were 192 in 2023.

Quarter length has nothing to do with the sim stats in dynasty mode. If you think you're correct explain to me why the passing stats seem completely realistic, and how does it make sense that the passing stats are completely in line with what we would expect, but the rushing stats aren't.

@@38657 and it took every single recruiting hour he had to get him. It was one season of dynasty we seen. The RNG just fell in his favor but he could also not get another one for many more rebuilds. Being in Georgia helps I’d say as well. If you’re in a worse state I’d say that affects it as well

All things seem easy in recruiting still. You were able to still get to many good players to fast it seems..I hope they see that. It should be a little harder to get so many at that school. 3 ⭐ is different so I could see that. But he got to many four stars in year 1 and it was more of them then 3star..It just looks wild to get them that easy...I would like them to tweak it a little more because his team even though the portal is should of been less stars wanting to go to His school. They need to make that more real. I just can't see all those players going there over other schools that are deeper in all. Even if it's the close to home sell was great. They Dnt have the money to compete right now. So it should be harder then that to land all that talent. I'm liking everything Im all in with this game

he got the haul I would expect of a promising 3 star school. not a one star school. Kennesaw state is one of the worst teams in college footbal and he got 8 wins year one with the recruiting tree? maybe he was on a lower difficulty. i'm not a masochist but I actually want there to be a challenge to get good. drew's team is going to be in the playoffs by year 3. with a 1 star school? that doesn't make sense to me unless you're a god on the sticks.

This entire video is pretty much dedicated to recruiting, he picked the recruiting skill tree, knows what to look for, and also went all in on the players he wanted. That all factors into it but yea, it’s a little concerning, I think this build might be a few weeks old though so hopefully we see some fixes, surely the devs are reading all these comments looking for feedback.
