As someone that started out using thumb breaks for a couple decades before moving over to rotating hoods, the way I found easiest to consistently and quickly re-snap the thumb break was to bring my thumb down ont he outside of the thumb break, and use the meat of my hand at the base of my pointer to pinch the thumb break strap and position it, then simply press in and click the snap together. Once you get the hang, you won't have to fiddle with it at all and it'll be as second-nature as slapping up a rotating hood. One of my still favorite duty holsters was the Safariland 070, which uses two different snap straps - a thumb break, and one that goes across & behind the trigger guard. The thumb & pointer-meat technique worked for both snaps.

Love the TRP Long Rail. Will have to get that holster for my battle belt. Nice review 👌

You all should get an rdrgear modded safariland if you're running a TRP full rail. It can accommodate a light and red dot sight.

I have 2 Falco holsters, both for concealment and really like them. I looked at their duty holsters, but definitely prefer Safariland.
