The fact that one character's VA can sound like that to the point I think their voice is one of the main reasons I like them so much also voices one of the most...vocally distinct characters in the entire series to the point it is hard to even get the idea they are voiced by the same person unless you remember like...1 or 2 voiced lines is...wow. They got talent. I assume they recorded when they met all the characters already, this is to prevent spoiling any new watchers...even if it is just voice acting.

Fun fact: the Japanese title for this game is “New Danganronpa V3: Killing School Semester”, in reference to the new engine and style they developed for V3, as this is the first game in the series to have been made for PS4, XBOX ONE, PC, and PS-VITA. Now, the funny thing about V3 is the reason why it’s called V3: the team didn’t know if they wanted to continue the Hope’s Peak saga or do something new with Danganronpa, so…they just decided to do both. While one team was making the 3 anime, the other was making V3, the game. The V both stands for “victory” and to distinguish it from the 3 anime. Note: Exisal is said like this: Ex-sis-all Or Ex-is-sall So it's basically said the way it's spelt. it's not complex it ends up having a pretty simple way to say it. The sound balancing in this game is awful. you gotta turn voices up a lot and turn music down to hear people speak properly. they shoulda patched that but Meh oh well. They use to have a typo in the intro little video of showing everyone. "the killing will begin again" one of those lines had a typo. I think they patched it out.

Hell yes! I played this game earlier this year and after taking some time to stew on it, this is the best Danganronpa game and it's not even close in my opinion. There are flaws sure but you have to actively hunt for them. I love the story, the twists. The only thing even comparable is the casts but given how I had to take two month-long breaks because of the killings in this game, I think it's obvious which cast I prefer. Can't wait to see where this goes

Just to clarify your doubt: The Danganronpa story you knew up until now technically ended with the DR3 animes (and the ova called Hope arc, which is the end for both of the DR3 arcs). And while V3 is a Danganronpa game that is part of the franchise, it is technically unrelated to all the previous Danganronpa content. The Danganronpa games (and anime series) are still meant to be played/watched in their release order though, since your knowledge of the games as a Dangaronpa fan that knows the franchise and its story is always a useful thing. But basically you can enjoy and consider it as a brand new unrelated story.
