*Timestamps and Further Information:* *_Noobie/Beginner Rods_* - (1:30) *Carbon Rod* - (3:05) *Steady Rod* *_Mid game/Novice Rods_* - (6:13) *Mythical Rod* _-The travelling Merchant has a chance to sell this rod every 30-40 minutes._ _-He can be at Moosewood, Roslit Bay, Sunstone Island or Terrapin Island._ _-Also, don't buy the Midas rod if he's selling it, it's not that good._ *Best enchant: Resilience* *OR* - (7:32) *Trident Rod* (*Can require up to 205K C$ if you don't have the 5 Enchant Relics.) _-Accessed and bought from the Tridents Temple from Desolate Deep._ *SUB-SECTION: Guide to Reaching the Tridents Temple* -Purchase 5 Enchant Relics (If you don't already have 5 Enchant Relics) on Sunstone Island from Merlin for 11,000 C$ (-945, 220, -990) or they can be fished up anywhere (1/500 chance, more common in The Depths.) -A buoy located behind Sunstone Island & Statue of Sovereignty marks the entrance to the Desolate Deep. (-790, 125, -3100) -Purchase and Equip the Basic Diving Gear (370, 135, 250)/Advanced Diving Gear (Inside the Buoy) before continuing, as you'll drown without wearing them. -There are two tunnels directly after descending from the buoy. -Take the right tunnel, which leads to the Desolate Pocket. -There is a small cave entrance towards the South end of the Desolate Pocket (-1470, -240, -2550). The pedestals for opening the Tridents Temple is found here. -Before the pedestals can be interacted with, the player must have their entire Desolate Deep bestiary completed (not including the Brine Pool section). -Each pedestal requires one Enchant Relic to be placed on top of it (5 in total). -Once all pedestals are powered up, the door to the Tridents Temple will open. The door closes after a minute, meaning another 5 relics must be procured to re-open it. -If the player has entered without completing the Desolate Deep's Bestiary, they will still be able to purchase the Trident Rod. *END OF SUB-SECTION* _-The Trident Rod is at the end of the corridor in the Tridents Temple on a pedestal and can be purchased for 150K C$._ *Best enchant: Hasty* *_Endgame/Pro Rods_* - (12:01) *Rod Of The Depths* (*Can cost a lot more if you don't have the Abyssal/Hexed Enchant Relics) _-Found in the hidden maze of The Depths._ *REQUIREMENTS:* -100% completion of Vertigo's Bestiary -A Depths Key to unlock the door into The Depths. -One Abyssal and Hexed Enchant Relic to unlock the entrance into The Depths Maze. -Diving Gear to navigate the maze -750,000C$ to purchase the rod. _-Unlike the door to obtain the Trident Rod, both doors leading to the Depths and the Rod of the Depths are client-sided, meaning that players cannot unlock the doors for others. The Depths Key and Enchant Relics can still be traded, however._ _-The Hexed Enchant Relic is best obtained through Appraisal during a Mutation Surge, whilst the Abyssal Relic is best obtained by fishing in the Depths with any rod with the Abyssal Enchantment._ _-The Abyssal relic must be placed on the pedestal next to Aspicientis (1210, -715, 1315)_ _-The Hexed relic must be placed on the pedestal next to Tenebris. Taking the waterfall up (located opposite of Aspicientis) takes you to the Hexed pedestal._ _-The relic puzzle is also client-sided, meaning it cannot be done for other players._ _-At the end of the maze, the Rod of The Depths may be purchased for 750,000C$ next to a kneeling statue._ _-If you end up leaving the server, the maze gates will once again close, and you will have to reobtain an Abyssal and Hexed Enchant Relic._ *Best enchant: Abyssal* *Other good enchantments include:* *-Quality* *-Hasty* *-Clever* - (14:45) *No-Life Rod* _-The No-Life Rod is obtained instantly for free after the player has reached level 500._ *Best enchants:* *-Steady* *-Quality* - (16:51) *Rod Of The Forgotten Fang* -_The Rod of the Forgotten Fang can be crafted by using the Crafting station located inside the Ancient Archives._ *SUB-SECTION: Guide to Reaching the Ancient Archives* -The Ancient Archives are the ruins underneath the Ancient Isle. The area is locked behind a large circular door, which is only opened after completing the Fragment Puzzle. _Fragment Puzzle:_ *-Search for all 4 Fragment items:* *-Deep Sea Fragment: (5841, 81, 388)* *-Solar Fragment: (6073, 443, 684)* *-Earth Fragment: (5972, 274, 845)* -Ancient Fragment: Fished up in Saltwater in Ancient Isle. -The room for the Fragment Puzzle lies under a cave behind the lower waterfall of the Ancient Isle. (5870, 160, 415). Within the cave lies a rope which can be used to descend into the puzzle room. -The puzzle consists of four rotating pillars and four pressure plates. Solving the puzzle requires all four Fragment items to be placed on their corresponding pillar, and at least 4 players to stand on the pressure plates: -The Deep Sea Fragment must be placed in the blue pillar. -The Solar Fragment must be placed in the orange pillar. -The Earth Fragment must be placed in the cyan pillar. -The Ancient Fragment must be placed on the purple pillar. -Lastly, the pillars must be rotated to face the front. After four players have stood on the pressure plates next to each pillar, the door to the Ancient Archives will open. _-Some things to note about the puzzle are:_ -The pillars can only be rotated during an Eclipse. -Fragments can be placed prematurely, but the pillars cannot be rotated outside of an Eclipse. -The door will open for anyone involved in any process of solving the puzzle (placing Fragments, rotating or standing on pressure plates) -The door remains open permanently for those players. -The four players opening it do not need to be the same four who place the Fragments. *END OF SUB-SECTION* *Ingredients:* -Meg's Fang ×2 -Meg's Spine ×2 -Lunar Thread ×1 -Price: 300,000 C$ *Best enchantments:* *Hasty* *Abyssal/Sea King* *Wormhole*

UPDATE: I’m level 95 now, and I have the trident rod and kings rod.

Things to note: -Carbon rod is good for catching alligators to get fungal rod. -steady rod is best used in the depths and desolate deep IMO -Trident rod with hasty is fast but you need rapid catcher bait for the instant catch -Best enchant on mythical rod is resilient. -Rod of the depths is best used with hasty as it can insta catch without using bait, once again its IMO -DONT get rod of the forgotten fang, no-life rod is quicker and easier to get

best enchant for rod of the depths i think its abyssal, because it makes so good money. But actually, the best enchant now is CLEVER! With clever you just going to farm exp for no life rod. No sense to use abyssal and hasty because all you need is exp.

I'm a beginner (lvl 31) and using phoenix rod and i think it's pretty good at depths because i always catch legs and myts

Btw you cannot get rod of the forgotten fang until you reach level 750, meaning that you will already have gotten the no-life rod. This also means that you can get rod of the forgotten fang its just your preference.

With the new rods I would say that Arctic Rod or Avalanche Rod could replace Steady Rod, they have way better stats but are more expensive.

As a level 103, this is my rod progression: Plastic rod Carbon rod Steady rod Kings rod Trident rod Artic rod (mainly used it like a secondary kings rod) And currently on rod of the depths but idk what i should get next ive been thinking heavens rod? Idk though. W vid btw.

Imo kings rod is also really good mid game rod. I still believe mythical rod is better than kings rod but your choice.

Actually, after buying steady rod i recommend farm for magnet rod, so you can go to sunstone and fish bait crates (The better version of bait crates, i forgot the name sorry), with only 10 of those you get like 1500 C

good progression but imo aurora rod>mythical rod bc it is not hard to find an aurora server and that would make it 20k cheaper than the mythical rod. It also has much better stats then the mythical rod and the aurora mutation is literally the best mutation in the game increases the sell price of the fish by 6.5x.

if u do the math the mythical rod still gives more stats, i recommend checking the fisch wiki, but aurora rod is like right below mythical so if u get one first u can stay with it

the thing is with aurora server hopping specfically for an aurora event takes time that could be used for fishing. sure its 20k cheaper but isnt really alot to grind to. and ya the mutation is the best but its a 15% chance, compared to 30% (double the chance)

Problem with trident rod is that you need 100% bestiary on desolate deep because sea mine needs to be caught by a crab cage and needs to be in no weather to be caught that is almost impossible without ps

Im level 18 and i just caught a 11k kg mosasaurus and if the trident rod is capped at 6k kg then does this mean i wont be able to catch another mosasaurus? Or giant squid? (Im currently using steady rod)

If the minimum kg of the fish is higher that the max kg u wont be able to catch it with that rod. But if u enchant it with unbrakable u can catch fish up to 16kg but its pretty bad enchant
