I like David because he really appreciates the culture instead of pretending like he's apart of it if that matters. The genuine authenticity in his voice when he talks about what he's experiencing is very refreshing

Omg that Chinese churros and the layered crepe would be my weakness and I would want to eat those all day, every day 😍😍. Fabulous food there, I love dumplings and Chinese pancakes

David, if you love that coffee, you probably love our trending coffee here in Indonesia: iced coffee (milk) with palm sugar. You can find it everywhere! Anyway, that French Concession looks like Hanoi, the buildings + the tress + the sidewalks + the motorcycles.

Hi David! Im going to Shanghai in a week and was looking on KZbin for videos on Shanghai. I stumbled on this video and as soon as I heard your voice I was like "hmmmmm that accent is familiar". I continued to watch the video and once you said "empanadas and Miami" I was like " I knew it!!!!" hahahaha I am from Miami too! We are very excited for our trip. Do you recommend any other places to see or go to besides mentioned in the video?

Was it just me, or did anyone else cringe every time he used the same chopsticks that he put in his mouth to take the chili paste from the spoon and then put back the spoon that was in contact with his chopsticks back in the common jar! I think I would have put some directly from the spoon into my dish.

the taste and texture of the Chinese fried cruller aka "you tiao" in Mandarin is more similar to Native American fry bread or Indian naan (if it were fried). It's chewy that way and savory, not like churro at all.

I think the tour guide is not bad, he had show him the food experiences of local people. I would like to go for that type of food tour if I'm visiting a new place, rather than being pulled to some grand fine dining restaurants.
