Thanks for the guide, I already know how to shatterskate, but it's great to know about the air surfing and other skates (I don't strand skate because its too difficult for me on a old ps4 controller...). Also, don't recommend shatterskating with a vortex sword on Root of nightmares for scism. I realized shatterskating consumed my ammo with vortex frame.

Mayhem on Eternity is much easier to practice skating on, especially for warlock/titan skate because of the infinite supers

Avid skater here! Some important notes: -keeping the sword out caps your momentum. You can selectively choose when you keep it out and when you put it away for times that you need to redirect vs times you need to travel (side note: the Eager Edge cooldown happens in the background but requires you to pull the sword back out to reproc - if you keep your sword out, you can double tap your ghost to reproc Eager if you are done with the cooldown) -it actually doesn’t matter how close to the ledge that you start. What matters is that the jump+ability input happens at the edge. If you’re having trouble learning skating, try adjusting your distance from the edge in either direction. Once you’ve got it consistently, you can play with it to have more flexibility -in order from least to most restrictive on timing: Shatterskate > Strandskate > Wellskate > Bubbleskate. I would not recommend starting with the most restrictive -I saw someone else mention this already, but ground skating is possible and learnable with Eager Edge too. (No need to build up speed if you’re already zooming at Eager speed) -Controller allows you to directional skate (you do not have to be looking in a direction to skate that way) Thanks for your work and welcome all to the movement community!
