Sweet setup, Shane! While my first iPhone was a 3GS model, my favorite was the 5S by far. So I kept mine for years and recently dissected it to make my DIY Grid art. My wife wondered why I bothered, but even her friends think it's cool. And sipping a fine bourbon is a true pleasure in life.

That’s a critical piece of info that I wish all studio tour videos included because it helps viewers compare what options we’d have with relation to our own dimensions. Love It!!! Caroline did a fantastic job on the decor and your Man Cave rocks. This has been extremely inspiring to me. I would like a more in-depth short video on your desk set up. I have been toying with the idea of getting a sit/stand desk. Maybe a review on this one and why you went with it over other desks. I also loved the idea of using Lines and shapes together. I'm going to see if there is a way I can do that in my office. I'm a huge Star Trek fan and would love to come up with something that will lend my office a Star Trek vibe. Looking forward to seeing more updates to your Man Cave/Office/Studio in the near future. You may want to consider doing something like Smart Home Solver did where he has a light outside and inside that turns to Red when you are recording and turns Green when it is safe for others to enter. I thought that was a really cool idea and having the inside light lets you know that the outside light is working properly.

all the lights are a cool feature and i love the fake plant lol I am a bourbon drinker myself and love a good bourbon area. Have you ever thought of mounting that box on the wall or maybe do a floating shelf for your decanter and glasses? also, just pre-ordered the Nanoleaf 4D yesterday and purchased a set of the black lines to go with my black triangles. Super excited for those to come in!

Wow sounds like you have a pretty sweet setup underway! I'm excited about the 4D also that was just announced. Yes I have thought about the mounting that box some how. Thinking just maybe it will look nice with some of the newly announced Nanoleaf Hexagon black shapes, since it's the same shape. I'll definitely play around with that idea some.

Very nice studio, one topic that would help me and is something either not mentioned or skimmed over by others is a detail set of tutorials on PLIX and into only it’s set up and use, but it’s integration into Home Kit and it’s use within Shortcuts (ways to play movies and music, etc.), set up automatic playlists, SIRI (direct commands, random unique selection of material, mode lighting, etc. There is a ton of things that tutorials can be created on using PLEX and Apple especially with PLEX Pass and there mobile app. Thanks

Awesome Studio! I’ve been following this channel since 2018 and I guess this sums up all Homekit devices possible in this space. I also noticed the digital interaction and computing devices centered on the desktop. As I’m a minimalist guy with this similar studio space, I love to see how you could start exploring the new Apple Vision/Spatial Computing headset in the near future in interaction with Homekit devices in the space. I’m really into exploiting the Home automation and applying that in minimalist designed home.

Put a Govee light curtain on that big empty wall. But instead of just hanging it how about you put it in a frame with a frosted cover. It’s a idea I’ve had for a while but I don’t know where to find a large enough piece of frosted glass or acrylic the size of 5ft tall.

Ah yes, I have seen those and even considered the exact thing. I used to have some lights on that wall and they reflect off the tv so bad, so I think I'll try to find something that doesn't light up much for that wall. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

It's not controlling multiple sections. I have multiple switches set up for different scenes. Light scenes is an option in the Homebridge Plugin.

Good question. I had an electrician friend install an outlet in the closet so I could set up a little charging station for all my camera equipment. There was already an outlet just on the other side of the wall, so it was an easy job for an electrician.

I do this via Shortcuts app on the Mac. Essentially, the stream deck is programmed to run a Mac shortcut that changes the wallpaper and sets a homekit scene.

I highly recommend at least trying hue sync lights for your tv before nano. Adds so much more to movies with a lot of special effects

Thank you for the suggestion. I hear good things about the Hue Sync Box. The Nanoleaf 4D will be able to sync all the other Nanoleaf lights in the room also, which would probably make more sense for this particular setup with all the Nanoleaf Lines and Shapes around the TV.
