I love the current Ultimate Spider-Man book it's really awesome and seeing Peter Parker and Mary jane being married and they have there daughter Mayday parker spider-girl and Richard parker their son being a great family and being on the same page makes me so happy that I am super excited to see what happens next with this awesome story in my opinion.

I think one of the things that affected sales in marvel overall were 2 things that are either overlooked or memory holed. The acquisition by disney. Since disney has historically been known as a "girls brand" led by the disney princess collection and comics being geared more towards a male audience (yeah tomboys included but mostly male) the already dwindling audience marvel had were uncertain for the future. The attempt to replace the old audience with a younger audience was a failure as well with their All New All Different line. The only character that really stuck with people even if i dont like or care a out him was Miles Morales. The 2nd thing that didnt help with sales was a post 2016 TDS meltdown by writers and editors. Writing books to chastise and alienate a portion of loyal readers. I think they want to come back a d some of them have but the rest are still hesitant.

I think this helps paint the larger picture of Marvel being unable to adapt with the times. Where DC still manages to make creative stories through Black Label or the rebrands they do every few years, Marvel is much more harder to get into and this as a result has alienated the potential market they were aiming for as you mentioned in your comment. I do prefer Marvel over DC but this is a glaring issue that’s held the company back for a while now and I do hope things change for the better. Thanks for commenting! 😅

Not interested in the ultimate universe. Ultimate Spider-Man will probably end up in an over the top terribly written dreadfully bad event. I will hate it. But for right now, it's a good story. So I'll read it while it's good. Most stuff from the big 2 always goes downhill. But i love many of the characters, so i read them when theyre good, and i try not to get too upset when i have to drop a title cause it becomes garbage .

I disagree. It seems to building up pretty well and handled well. Maybe it's the hopeful Spider-Man fan in me. But this has been the most promising Spider-Man story. Hickman is really good at writing family stuff and i liked his Fantastic Four run.
