I myself was 15 when the Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) comic series first started and I was already/STILL big on MARVEL comics, so I just HAD to read it. God, reading these; while now hearing them be dubbed, just brings so many fun memories. To this day, this is still a helluva lotta fun to read and is still my personal all time favorite MARVEL; let alone Spider-Man, universe. As for the voice acting, highest praise goes to Philly as Spider-Man/Peter Parker & JoeyKat as Mary Jane Watson. In my honest opinion, they sound exactly as I would've have expected any other 15 year old teenagers from the early-mid 2000s to sound like

No matter how many times I watch this, one thing remains the same: seeing the kingpin get knocked down a peg is cathartic. Beating galactus is one thing, but he’s something of a necessary evil. Kingpin is just an arrogant bully with way too much weight to throw around, pun intended. I simply love these dubs, and the spider man serial is easily the best thing to come out of the ultimate run.

This volume was my introduction to the Ultimate Marvel Universe. It started with a single issue on a rotating rack. (I miss when you could buy issues in a regular store.) I like how Peter originally gets his ass kicked by Fisk because he jumps in without a plan, but then figures out Kingpin's weakness (arrogance) and wins round two. The volume was aptly titled.
