It was kirsch - it's a traditional accompaniment to fondue!

@@BookishPrincess Ah ok. I looked into it a bit and it's also very much an ingredient. Not just fondue either. But chocolates and Black Forest cake and a few other things. Gonna have to acquire some just for the sole reason that the stuff was worthy of mention in an old Steely Dan song. ;o)

Flower pots-something copper, the flowers would change seasonally but at some point it would have to be red geraniums, right? I love gardening, and am spoiled living in central California, I can grow almost anything! Yes you should recreate a shadow box. Do you press flowers? I do. I forget I did sometimes until they fall out of books.

Ohhh that sounds so lovely! I'm always meaning to learn more about gardening - the few times I've tried to grow seeds it hasn't turned out well, but I should give it another shot!

That's the clock tower (Tour du Molard) at Place du Molard in Geneve. You picked a good fondue restaurant! No need to order unlimited fondue since Edelweiss makes everyone at your table order a fondue and that is a lot of cheese! After eating all that cheese, you probably won't be ordering raclette anytime soon LOL!
