I like Rusty and the Boulder, but I also love Bugs. Bugs is a really important early episode as it sets up the character Cranky, it would be wise for the current producers to see what Cranky is all about.

Thanks for the suggestion; the tea was nice. :) A very interesting look into how you film your videos. I'll be sure to make use of some of the tips and tricks.. provided I can get my hands on a camera that actually works I've been having bad luck with my equipment lately. :-/ By the way, the trivia about the signals was rather interesting as well. Never would have known .

when I buy a camera I make sure it does all the things I require, and because I do loads of close up work to tiny models it often has me buying cameras others don't buy camera choice is really important, almost worth a stand alone video but I tend not to do tech styled videos, it sounds more like a Blunty topic

He did allot of Hollywood work during the 70's and early 80's, I love the way he fooled people with his in camera illusions. Its the sort of stuff that is not taught anymore. The slide towards CGI post production fixes is now the norm. It's worth looking at Mr Meddings IMDB file to see all the work he achieved. It's funny because the real focus seems to be with ILM as the real innovators, well they were second fiddle in my books

cutaways can get you out of heaps of editing trouble and make a video so much more interesting, often people don;lt notice they exist. Any TV show or movie uses loads of cutaways to compress time, keep the visuals interesting and tell a story the trick is you have to remember to shoot them when you make a little video, it's a good habit to get into

@leokimvideo12 жыл бұрын
well much of what I say and show here are the bone basic's of making a video the old fashioned way 'in camera', nothing is added in later in post production to add to the visuals these days there is a real drift to do loads of CGI and add effects via blue screen and composites, sure I could do that as well but if you can doing stuff in camera tends to look very real
@leokimvideo12 жыл бұрын

There are two types of semaphore signals on railways: lower quadrant and upper quadrant. Lower quadrant signals have 'em pointing down when they tell you to go, upper quadrant ones point up when they tell you to go. That signal in your final video is a lower quadrant signal, and you got the gesture correct.

Leo, I was given a tomy ultimate Thomas which came with a giant one. It also came with James, Toby, Diesel, Duck and Stepney. The first problem was James, I recall it only working once. One of the wires snapped (I wasn't a wreck child) The second problem is the model of Toby now. It has turned into a really weak model. It can only pull Henrietta nothing more than that.
