basically the dagger duchess is way better than the other two until a certain threshold is passed and then the other tower troops become exceedingly better than her. she’s good one on one with mini tanks and below but send a push her way and it’s game over. a chart from royale api shows this really well

In here, she is good, but in an actual match, she would suck so much, basically she would fail to do anything and even the cannoneer/the one with a HP penalty would be useful and even him he is not that good and the princess is much better still as she has the best stats for the game and because she fits everything like speed per hit, okay damage and good HP, basically there's no point to use any new tower troop because the princess is literally the better option, and with how easy to deal with the cannoneer/basically a free win for me, the duchess would be the same, an easy win and they return back to using the princess tower, well, unless they make a Xbox tower, that would much better

She’s weak to spam decks beyond a threshold. I do think overall though she wins most chip damage interactions and slot a building to held and some splash spells/troops and she actually helps tame pushes at least initially for everything else to clean up. But play one wrong move and you’ll be punished.

Dagger duchess is really good against any kind of swarm like goblins or skellies, but she really struggles against very tanky cards like pekka or giant because she runs out of ammo very fast. So it seems like a pretty balanced card.

I am a cannon player and I am honest, it is horrible for defending small troops because of how slow it is but it is good against tank cards and if you know how to defend it it can really help you a lot thanks to the upload to arena 19 you just have to know how to use it

decks to use with the duchess. strong attacks where you can knock down a tower, I don't recommend miner contorl type decks where you do damage slowly and end up reaching overtime. Way to attack if you face a duchess, try to extend the game as much as you can, in the X2 of elixir the duchess begins to lose a lot of potential because you will not let her carry her 8 daggers, defend until you manage to put together a large push or several little ones

The biggest problem is that the Duchess is so versatile and the other two don't compare, and the game is based on luck now depending on which one you face your win condition may be really good or really bad like graveyard for example completely relies on which tower you get matched up against for an easy(cannon), medium(princess), or hard game(duchess).

The Dutchess is stronger than the Princess at sustained fire up untill 20 seconds. Little to no pushes are going to last that long. But that does assume that they let her completely reload instead of bait out ammo w/ cheap swarms then a tank.

The only reason I see to use the princess tower now is for her consistency against swarms and is still good against beatdown and won’t get swarmed by bats otherwise you’re better off using the other two and everyone brings spells for that tbh

so even when she has 0 ammo, she does 153 damage every 1.2 seconds which means that she does 127.5 dps in her worst case scenario which is hardly even worse than the princess her ability gives her a 1224 burst damage this means that in order for her to be objectively worse than the princess she would have to shoot 144 times with no ammo (though the princess would sometimes be better sooner because of the consistency) to be worse than the canoneer, she would have to shoot 26 times, (this gap is more noticeable since canoneer is better than princess) i think they should nerf her reload speed or change her max ammo like, imagine a hog in range of both towers thats 2448 damage, and then they still become basically princess towers afterwards

i feel like the approach they should have went with would've been to make her do less damage than the princess tower but have a faster attack speed and instead of ammo make it so that after a certain period of time the bar fills up and then she throws a powered up set of daggers (basically the damage she does now) for a set period of time the bar can then decrease either in correspondence with how many daggers she throws or with a timer (whichever would be more balanced) i think this would have been much better

Not balanced, seems way strong on 1x elixir and way weak on anything else. Remember, she isn't necessarily winning all of these fights with more troops ready to follow up. An aggressive defense and counter attack is needed to capitalize off of the burst damage that'll preserve your troops who can then hold the line for her while she recharges. She also DOES NOT COUNTER GOBLIN BARREL, DRILL, GRAVEYARD, AND THE LIKE. Your opponent will play them when she's short on daggers. She combines the cannoneer's ability to handle mid range chip with utility against swarms at the cost of completely collapsing when met with a full push. Another way to think about it is as two different towers, charged daggers and no daggers. This will be the most difficult tower to defend a full push with.

All I know is that the HP of cannoneer needs to be buffed. So many good plays yet he still loses to a giant. That was such a rip-off. He deserved points for the dmg, not necessarily dying first. At least not 400 less than a princess tower. 95% princess HP makes sense, not 80%

Basically shes strong af in one elixer your opponent cant force you to drop cards when he knows youre low at elixer like using wb when a push just got evaporated or using more than just a knight to defend against 3 Royal recruits having to go over limits to defend against loon lumberjack when you just have like 4-5 elixer so shes good at saving your ass in 1x elixer like in golem decks you dont defend cuz then your push will be bad but rn you can defend with minimal elixer while still having a good push on opp lane

Dagger Duchess seems balanced, but at the same time, I feel like it requires a small buff, as it's way too weak against tanky units. So this would be a really nice and small buff to the card in my opinion:- Instead of Dagger Duchess' ammo bar starting to recharge after she runs out of ammo, I think it should start to recharge as soon as she starts shooting, so that she would be able to shoot for some more time (a second or two) before running out of ammo, while keeping the maximum number of daggers in the ammo the same, i.e. 8.

It's weak against beatdown decks, but it definitely shines against decks that punish (basically control decks) You just need to adjust your deck according to the tower troop you equipped. Tower Princess is neutrally weak and strong against every deck Cannoneer demolishes classic Beatdown but easily gets outplayed by swarm Dagger Duchess bursts out quick punishes (solo Goblin Barrel, solo Hog Rider, solo Graveyard), but gets demolished by Beatdown tanks
