Hi to both of you. I would like to say thank you very much for your videos. Really2 appreciate it. Looking forward to see more. Would love to hear anything relevant to people who are planning to migrate there. And would love to know in details what are do’s and dont there as Malaysian. I am pretty sure we as Malaysian would benefit so much from your input. Anyway thank you again and good luck there.

Hi Jerm & Joey, I see you mentioned need to get state approval from Australia. How to get the approval? Call or there is a form to fill?I go through the website but do not see much information.
@jermandjoey85033 жыл бұрын
NSW didn't need approval but VIC, SA, and WA needs. It's better you check your destination's state website and apply accordingly

Hi Jerm & Joey, thank you so much for this helpful video. Your video comes in at the right time as I’ll be flying to BNE in august. I’m on visa sc482. May I know what do you mean by extract the vevo like a day before the departure? My employer lodged the visa application in Australia through an immigration agent and I received it in June. Is the visa official grant notice the same thing as VEVO? Or must I go to VEVO system and generate something else? By the way, your description is clear and I like the way you list down every single item. It’s perfect for a newbie like me :)

VEVO is a live database system. Whenever you access the system, the latest timestamp will be shown. I suggest printing out a copy of ur VEVO with the latest timestamp as this would show that u have a valid visa at the time of printing. U can print out the visa grant letter too and keep it as a supporting document. We printed it out but we didn't show it to anyone unless it was requested. If I remember correctly, no one requested for this document. If you are a Malaysian and this is the 1st time u r travelling to Australia for ur new job, it it imperative that u apply for an MTP too. All the best!!

Hi Jerm & Joey is the Malaysian tax clearance mandatory??
@jermandjoey85033 жыл бұрын
I asked a friend who (if not mistaken) is/was a tax director of an international accounting firm. He advised for me to notify LHDN that I am leaving the country so that they can check whether I owe any monies/paperwork, etc. If you are a foreigner, this process is mandatory. As for Malaysians, I assume there might be an element of luck involved too. Sometimes you get asked/stopped, sometimes you don't.

@@jermandjoey8503 I'm on a 309 (TR) with Malaysian passport. When I checked on immigration website it says "tiada halangan". How do I get the tax clearance by the way
@jermandjoey85033 жыл бұрын
If you are currently employed, ur company should issue you a tax document called CP21. Your HR will be more familar on that. You could also check with your LHDN home branch for them to give you the all-clear. In Jerm's case, he emailed his home branch to check on his tax status. As long as you don't owe any tax monies, it should be ok to leave.
