I've been to the Great Barrier Reef and I live in Australia! The Great Barrier Reef is so clear and you get to touch the fish. When I went there you got a waterproof camera and got to take pictures. Then you could get the pictures printed out to Keep! SO COOL!

I'm an Aussie and you've got to stay at Hamilton Island for a few days it's awesome man. You can boat tour out to the Great Barrier reef and Whitehaven beach which is one of the 'most unspoiled' beaches in Australia. The sand is so white it's like powder it's crazy

low key is the best. what really counts is that no matter how busy two people are they can make a compromise on when to meet and for how long. just being there in person and seeing them is special. nothing crazy or planned out.

While you are there make sure you, climb the harbour bridge, possibly eat at the opera house (if you can), go to Taronga Zoo, go to the Great Barrier Reef, if your are interested go to the blue mountains, climb Ayers Rock (Uluru) go to Fraser Island (I think here are wild dingos there or something) you could go to wet and wild in Queensland or NSW, or sea world, dream world, white water world, movie world(you will like movie world) (all in Queensland) there is also jamberoo in NSW. If you want to see a lot of kangaroos go into the country (no need to go too far) 😂 I am Aussie!

in Sydney, don't forgot the classic bondi to bronte coastal walk and catching the ferry to manly beach(there you can also do the manly to spit walk)! Also check out the Royal botanic Gardens(walk along farm cove to Mrs Macquaries point). Nice shopping at the cbd Westfield and plenty of great cafes in syd :) You'll love it here

I'm from Australia 🇦🇺 Ok one the drive from Sydney to Melbourne is 12 hours (444 miles) . But Great Barrier Reef isn't a day trip you would have to get a plane (which is around 3/4 hours) But a great alternative is the south coast which has the most stunning beaches. Hyams beach is a very popular beach it is know for the whitest sand in the world. The northern coast is also a good day trip. One thing to keep in mind Australians city are quite isolate. I hope you have amazing holiday 😊

OK so remember Australia is basically the same size of the lower 48 states!The drive from Sydney to Melbourne is 9 hours (one way) and the police in Victoria are very strict if they catch you speeding, take a flight its 1 hour.When you are in Melbourne, take a trip out to Philip Island to see koalas in the wild, take a short boat trip, there's a large rock off the island full of seals) and fairy penguins (this is a late evening activity, you watch them come out of the sea & waddle to their burrows). This can all be done as a 1 day drive from Melbourne.For the Great Barrier Reef, fly up to Cairns (you can do day trips to the reef from there) and about an hour north near Port Douglas is a zoo where you can hold a koala and they have snakes too. I think Queensland is the only state that allows koala cuddling.

I live in Brisbane and go to Sydney for holidays at least once a year. The things I do are walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Lunar Park, walk from the Sydney Harbour Bridge through Circular Quay to the Opera house then walk through the Botanical Gardens to Mrs Macquarie's Chair, Sydney Opera House tour, sit in Hyde Park and chill, get a bus to Bondi beach and do the coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee, get a ferry over to Taronga Zoo and Manly, the Chinese Gardens of Friendship, the Paddy's Markets, the Sydney Tower observation deck and skywalk, dine at Sydney Tower Buffet (360 degree revolving restaurant), minus5 ice bar, do a day trip to the Blue Mountains (see the famous three sisters) and the Jenolan Caves. You could do all these things in 7 days but it would be go go go. Other amazing things I've done in Stralya and recommend: *Hire a car and drive from Melbourne to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road. Me and my friends did this over 5 days. See a game at the MCG, Eureka Skydeck (Melbourne) and St Kilda Pier. We went swimming at Torquay, Aireys Inlet, Apollo Bay, Port Campbell See the Gibson Steps, Loch Ard Gorge, Thunder Cave, Broken Head, London Arch, the Grotto, the Twelve Apostles, Bay of Islands, the blue lake and Umpherston sinkhole (Mt Gambier). *Do a tour from Darwin to Alice Springs. This took about 11 days. You could just fly to Alice Springs and do the things around there i.e. Uluru and Kata Tjuta for a shorter trip. See Litchfield National Park, Termite Mounds, Florence Falls, Nourlangie Rock, Wildlife Boat Cruise, Rock Galleries of Ubirr (Kakadu National Park); Edith Falls, Katherine Gorge, Mataranka Thermal Springs, Daly Waters (Oldest Pub in NT), The Devils Marbles, Simpson’s Gap, West MacDonnell National Park, ANZAC Hill lookout, Alice Springs Telegraph Station, Alice Springs Reptile Centre, Wycliffe Well, Kings Canyon, Mt. Connor, MacDonnell Ranges, Lake Amadeus, Kata Tjuta and Uluru. Hope this is helpful!
