I will have to disagree. However I do have a hot take: most Italian reds are boring. If you exclude Nebb and Sangio there just isnt that much exciting red wine(of course there is a bunch if you know where to look). France easily takes it for reds. However if we are looking at white wines Italy is an absolute beast, it feels like there are 4 sick varieties in every region and they are all so unique. France in comparison has Chard, Aligote, Chenin, Sauvignon, Savagnin, Viogner, White Rhone, Marsanne/Roussane. I mean these make some of my favorite wines but the options do not compare.

Loved it guys! Will keep watching. Great to see Ar Pe Pe show up. Amazing to see Wade play it tactical and pick what is ironically the best value wine region in France: Bordeaux. If you know what you are doing we are talking 15 euro wines that just demolish the competition, and I don't even particularly like Bordeaux stylistically. Cote du Py is often imo the only cru Beaujolais that is worth around that price range, I'd call it 35-50 euro. Love Beauj but for me its usually strong at sub 20 euro and once you go above that its competing with VERY good stuff from Loire, Piemonte, Naoussa, Catalunya etc. Cote du Py has so far been the only subzone in Beaujolais that kicks ass consistently above that 35 euro mark for me, espescially because of that blue fruit and mineral character. Found you guys through WFTP

Thanks for watching! We love WFTP boys, so glad you could check out our vids as well! Always pains us to see how much better value these wines are in Europe. Anyway, some class wines here to check out for sure. One of the better bottles of Foillard we've had I think! Thanks again - see you at the next video :)
