The reason why it's so good is that it can be effective in almost all situations with minimal skill required. This contrasts many other guns that are exceptional in certain situations but useless in others (shotguns and sniper rifles).

exactly, the winfield is not better than a shotgun at 10 meters or better than a sniper at 100+ meters but you will be fine at both ranges!

From the day they released high velocity I barely used the mosin again and then when they buffed its headshot range I basically never play anything else now. Its only weakness is body shots at range, thats it. Yes it is the most versatile and I'd go as far to say the swift is the best overall gun in the game with HV/repeater/levering.

@@demolishweaklings I dont like the ads animation personally, it has slower fire rate in comparison to the compact variant and levering is incredibly slow and inaccurate on it. It's not a bad weapon at all tho but I prefer the compact variant

Finally someone with the same opinion as me. I had this conversation with sooo many people. Winfield is the best weapon in the game. Exactly because how versatile winfield is, and the ammo types make it way more strong.. Plus, the huge majority of fights happen in close to medium range, which is, again, perfect for the winfield.. Great vídeo, I believe you reached everything (close fights, medium fights, long distance fights), perks well explained.. Well, gg's :)

talon is very much slept on, I should have added a variant-part. Talon comes in so handy for killing bosses since it deals the same amount of damage as an axe

I had a rando the other week with a 2 or 3 kd who exclusively used Winfield high velocity. Looking at their profile, the comments were in inundated with cheating accusations. I called him out as the match started, so either he toned it down, or he's just good, because we won, but it only felt like we all played well. In the past couple of days, I've picked up a similar loadout, and have been blown away by all the heads I've been clicking. I'm still not entirely convinced the rando is legit (lots of wall hack accusations as well) , but man, I could see how you could foster a high kd with smart play using this gun.

😂 I love the honesty. I'd recommend dualwielding conversion pistols if you just wanna go for quantity of bullets over quality of accuracy. I rather have a centi on hand but the iron sights are thicker for some reason i dont understand why they did that Centi with fmj is basically a winnie c uppercut so thats pretty cool

Ye I personally just don't like the centennial irons that much, I prefer the thin irons on the normal winfield and as long as you go for headshots the bullet you shoot barely makes a difference in most situations

The best variant is the winfield swift due to the fast reload, which is a huge buff especially to levering

100% worth giving it a try, I know it's easier said than done but just try to aim for headshot! If you can hit consistent body shot u can 100% also hit headshots if you believe in yourself

iron repeater doesnt work on every gun (only on lever action rifles) but there are other traits for different weapons check out iron sharpshooter for bolt action rifles (like vetterli or mosin) and scopesmanship traits for scopes, they all increase the fire rate while being in ads

Im endeffekt macht das Handling kaum einen Unterschied. Levering is besser mit normaler ammo oder fmj (weil HV mehr recoil hat und somit mehr "kick" mit levering hat) HV is besser als FMJ. Der Grund dafür ist ziemlich simpel. HV (600 m/s) macht es einfacher 50m+ headshots zu landen und macht es 10x einfacher "die einfachen" kills zu landen. (Kills in compounds da die Kugeln fast hitscan sind) FMJ ist meiner Meinung nach nur "besser" für levering wallbangs (oder wallbangs allgemein) Die Frage ist jedoch, ob bessere Wallbangs dir wirklich so wichtig sind und wie oft du wirklich Spielder mit Wallbangs downst. FMJ macht alles andere um einiges schwerer, da man sogar ab 10-15m anfangen muss seine Schüße zu leaden. Sprich FMJ macht alle "einfachen" kills viel viel schwerer und sobald man Spieler auf einer Distanz von mehr als 50m treffen möchte ist es so unwahrscheinlich einen Treffer zulanden, dass FMJ einfach keinen Sinn macht, wenn HV eine Alternative ist.

They never increased the 2 tap range when they buffed headshot range , it's still 42m . Also most fights were in the Winfield comfort zone below 50m , I missed that you never mentioned that anything but a headshot past 60m is worthless . At 70m you need to 4 - 5 tap most of the time when you don't hit the head . I also think the Winfield is one of the best guns in the game but the downside is that hits on range deal such a tiny amount of damage that most of the time the enemy didn't even need to heal . So in my book the Winfield is heavily dependent on you having somewhat decent aim.

I honestly did not know that the 2 tap range is 42 meters I was quite convinced that it always has been 50+, I totally believe you tho. I am not big into researching exact stats, that is something I can work on in the future!

@@beef4847 FMJ would increase the 2 tap slightly I'd assume but I do not recommend playing FMJ. You don't really benefit from the range increase since it makes it harder to lead as well. (especially long range shots 80m+ become unrealistically hard)

Good one! Thanks for the guide, for me Winfield was the first and still my favorite rifle in Hunt just because I love lever action Winchesters. Huge versatility! I have a question. You mentioned that you are prestiging so how do you have a poison traps in all of those footages? I'm also prestiging rn and playing solo most of the time. I'm using an antidote shot at the beginning of every hunt and using every poison items what I've found in the game instantly but still unlocking poison traps at the end or prestige so I almost don't use it. Any tips how to unlock it faster?

I have 2 accounts, I created one specifically for prestiging and I usually pick up poison trip mines in qp so when I was running poison+concertina it was due to me getting them out of quickplay. Currently I stopped prestiging tho, I only started since my chat was asking me to do it 😅

I would never recommend anyone to play fmj, the reason for that is pretty simply. Yes it does increase the 2 tap range (from 45 to like 59?) but at the same time it makes shots much harder to lead which basically makes it quite unrealistic to benefit from the additional 2tap and headshot range in a lot of situations. (especially against good players) I am quite confident that I would not have hit the 2nd kill in that specific clip with fmj due ti the target moving a lot. I think fmj is only strong within 0-40 meters and heavily benefits from levering but takes away any competitive long range capabilities against competent players who move a lot. You do not have to agree with it tho, that's just my opinion. I personally only run fmj on my pistols since I am most likely using those in close quarter combat.
