PS, I noticed your swing timers weren't working, make sure you get that addon + the other WA in the info tab on the WA webpage to make it work, I think the latest version had trackers for both weapons so you could effectively track if your weapons were synced or not. Think a proper sunder tracker was added at one point too.

It's more than likely just raid comp in making sure you have every single class buff as they add a lot of damage. Without any buffs you will likely only get grey parses as an example of how much buffs matter.

I have been playing fury for a while, and there are several things which would require your advice: - First, about Rend: is it better to use Rend or spend that rage points in Heroic Strike/Cleave instead, since Rend requires switching to Battle Stance (and back) and thus leads to a rage deduction? - Next, is there any situation where we don't need to apply sunder? Let's say there's some other class does it in their mandatory rotation. - Lastly, I use DrDamage to monitor dmg of each skill. I see there were situations when an execute does higher than a bloodthirst (might be due to the glyph of execution). And since it costs only a GCD, should we prioritise Execute over BT? I have seen your other video about syncing the weapon swings and it's eye opening. Again thanks for the insightful contents.

if you can't build up rage on critters/trash before pulling boss (pug raids are usually slower than raid guilds, so it's pretty normal to start the fight with 0 rage) -> you can pot on 1 (i usually pot like half a second later) and charge to build up rage for shattering throw, going for rend and switch berserker stance. You have that small window where you are not infight and can still charge without taking the aggro from your tanks. Look up when a) warriors are using heroic throw b) paladins throw their shield or c) if you have hunters who MD the tank, wait for the first shot and charge then. Just don't charge too early and die from an AA :D

I put the stance for the abilities in every abilitie macro i use. So in your case you have to use your Rend macro twice. I prefer using it once and then smashing other buttens After this so i dont have to Make sure or have to Pay attention to use one macro twice to get back in serkerstance. And if you are already in the Right stance for the abilitie it does nothing. Nice guide thanks 👍

@@RunnerJong17 it's because i leveled up my warrior as unrelentless assault and needed to switch stances to execute. if youre playing as fury or arms you dont need to switch because you are already in the right stance. on the other hand the macro does nothing if you are allready in the right stance. edit: and i had chosen the battlestance cause you have to do some more things in battle stance instead of berserker stance as a unrelentless assault warrior. to avoid some rage dumping.

I like to do Whirlwind first and then Bloodthirst that way when I switch to Battle to cast Rend and switch Back too Berserk Bloodthirst just comes off cd if you do whirlwind second your bloodthirst comes off CD while you are in battle stance losing you 1-2 sec. Thats my take on it, but I see most people do it your way Blood first and Whirl second, maybe they cast Blood -> Whirl -> Blood -> switch stance -> Rend -> Switch stance -> Blood -> Whirl, that way you wouldn't lose anything on blood and maybe at best 1 sec on whirl. The Fury rotation looks so simple on paper but the stance switch, bloodthirst short CD and Slam procs are giving me a headache xD

It took a while but thanks to your guide and getting pretty well geared in uld i went from rockbottom to pure pumping! The recklessness with the cleave at the end just skyrockets us! Soo much fun! ty allot! Small tip: ALWAYS do a few sunders before pumping or you will pull agro with a recklessness macro. It's just too much dmg. So instead of waiting for tank to have agro you can time your first sunders to minmax dmg. I don't go to five right away tho. It just ruins the fun to fall behind from the start and struggle to keep up afterwards

Nice detailed guide, just 1 question. Shouldn't Slam be third priority? I heard you want to ALWAYS have BS + WW on CD before even thinking about touching the slam procc. Correct me if i'm right. Always slam right away! Your cooldown usage depends on the fight. If its short enough to not have DW again. Use potion and gloves together when they are up but if it is long enough, it should look like this.. Prepot before pull.. (quick hero/lust) DW/gloves/sapper/trinket if you have an on use . Then use reck.. gloves 1 minute later by itself.. then potion/gloves/DW/trinket if you have one at the end. Racials included if you have those.

Up until you get your tier 7 2 piece set bonus you do more damage by not taking bloodsurge, not using slam. Then again in Tier 10 by which time it doesn't really matter anymore because most of your guild quits anyway

Ok, so first off thanks for the video, very helpful to get me started on this warrior. I haven't played fury but recently respecced my dwarf. Having a few issues that I am not quite understanding and wanted to get your take. I am duel wielding a couple of 2 hand axes w/attack power added. His base stats are below: Damage: 1989-2275 (these numbers are in red which I haven't figured out why yet) Speed: 3.39 Power: 5967 Hit Rating: 540 Crit: 31.55% I did notice on one occasion while at a training dummy that the damage number went to green (and increased) but then ended up back in red. I do operate him primarily in fury but in a boss fight I will go to battle, charge/deathwish/rend and then swap back to fury for the duration. Maybe I am just clueless here but would you have any suggestions on why the damage numbers are red and my damage is only so-so? Thanks a lot!

Yeah so if your weapons are synced, your offhand can't benefit from heroic strike. That benefit is that it can't miss. You'll need a macro to desync them. I'll have to find the macro

Hey, just came into your guide and I must say it is amazing! I'm not playing retail though, I'm playing in a private server, but whenever I try to import the weakauras, it says it's from a new version and I can't do it. I have tried download different versions but they don't seem to work. Is there a way to get an explanation on how to get those weakauras (specially rend helper/tracker ones) from anywhere else? I really liked them! Also, in my case, we're in final phase (3.3.5) and I'm wearing ICC gear, but I do feel my dps could become much better, do you happen to have a guide for endgame WOTLK Warrior? This one is great, but in my case it's a bit outdated since I'm starting to hardcap arpen (currently at 1277) instead of strength.

I loved warrior in later expansions and mostly played it through private servers in wotlk clients etc so Im not a fan of stance dancing but im adapting. This guide has been massive help in every aspect! Much love. I do have 1 questions though, whats the point of using Shattering Throw on pull when it runs out as youve applied the sunder armors? Would it not benefit you more after applying sunders with lust activating? Asking since im the only warrior in our guild runs and applying 5 sunders takes a lot of effort

Its more of a "increase the raid dps" at the sacrifice of yours. It isn't required by any means and isn't always applicable on every boss but it can be helpful. I tend to not do it anymore tbh. If you screw it up and mess yourself up bad, which can easily happen, you hurt your own dps so bad that the benefit to the raid stopped being worth it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@Krissmas1 You could mess up where the boss moves and gets out of range and it stops casting so then you go to cast again and did nothing for 6 seconds. You could probably make it worth midpull during hero if you shattering throw in a spot where you could rend but I don't. Now keep in mind. You wouldn't start the fight, then cast shattering throw.. its more of casting shattering throw before the boss has been pulled and the boss gets pulled as you finish the cast so you aren't standing there casting while everyone is dpsing

Still run the BT>WW prio, personally if there is cleave targets its okay to skip out on execute, keep cleaving and BT>WW. You will still execute though as execute doesnt require a ton of rage so youll find yourself execute because thats all you can do at some points

Ive seen some errors in you rotation that I need to point out. Ive been playing fury vanilla, tbc and wotlk (both on pservers and classic) I noticed that you would use your slam proc over your WW/BT. I dont do that. I make sure I use WW/BT on cd, and fit the slam procs in between there. If that means losing a slam proc its not that bad, since BT/WW does more dmg then a slam. SO make sure every 4 sec you BT and every 8 (i think) u can WW. There are windows in between that where u have a free gcd, thats where you'd use slam. Another trick here is (which is a bit more advanced) is to time your gcds and time the duration of your slam procs. so if you would use a slam, it would delay your BT with 1 sec, even tho it would become available at 0.5 sec. So in that situation you will have to get a feel for it if its worth delaying your BT/WW rotation to get a slam in, if that would mean the slam proc would dissapear if you'd use 2 gcds to do your BT+WW. If that is the case, u can delay your BT/WW to use a slam proc. If the slam proc would still be up after the BT/WW, then I don't delay the gcd rotation. To make this easier, I recommend getting the cheese addon, it makes it very visual If you dont have slam procs above 20% and have (!!!!) 2 free gcds, u can use rend (dont interrupt your normal rotation to reapply). Its a small dps upgrade but not a lot If you dont have slam procs and plenty of rage below 20% execute can be worth it, but i personally dont use it all (its the least rage per dmg ability we have - gone are the days of vanilla), since continueing to queue HS with the glyph is way better. I hope this helps my fellow zugzugs PS Stand in fire gives rage, don't let anyone tell you otherwise

Instant slam is prio over BT/WW. Think of it like an off GCD revenge that goes away if you don't use it but also doesn't have a chance to reset your BT cd like revenge can reset SS cd.

The cooldown difference is significant, and gets increasingly significant as a longer fight goes on. This means the longer the fight, the more bloodthirst you can get in vs how many you can get a WW in. I hope I explained that well!

Even if the CD of Bloodthirst is quite low compared to Whirlwind the damage difference convinces intuitively that Whirlwind > Bloodthirst. It's not like we had a lot of timeouts between those spells, with all the Bloodsurge procs and rend refresh. I didn't do the math however and maybe it depends on the weapons

Question about hit cap. Do you need 8& total? I currently have 286 hit rating for 8.72% hit and I also have the precision talent. so dont I really have 11.72%? If i have precision wouldn't I only need 164 hit rating to get hit cap?

Precision will not appear in your stats. Even though it says 5% in your character sheet, you really have 8%!

I cant make the rend worth it. No matter my uptime on rend, it makes up for around 1% of the dmg. i do better not messing with dancing at all.

I highly disagree on getting increase hit--when--you are way above the hit cap. It may seem useless but I put it into improved berserker to get some extra rage so when im rage dumping HS I can quickly get back up

@@DustinRaimondi oh shoot sorry! I read heroic strike. I only heroic throw if there's distance between you and the boss. Whether thats in the very beginning, in the middle, or if the boss has a mechanic that makes you back out for a short time. Only heroic throw if you aren't in melee range

Why not pick up commanding presence for extra commanding shout hp. The amount of hp this gives is insane when you consider how 1-shotty mechanics are to classes with low hp pools. Also blacksmithing with rare gems is way more dps than engineering...

Important topic: most weapons currently have the same attack speed. Do you de-sync your weapons so that they dont hit at the same time? If they do, the HC queue apparently does not help with the off hand miss penalty Edit: this means that the offhand should hit immediately prior to the main hand but its a hassle to get this right during the fight without losing dps

I dont personally but I think I am going to start. Its the last thing you should worry about in my opinion. Master rotation then worry about that. But you're right about the offhand.

@@PlayBeats3 thanks for your reply. Sometimes the macro and timing worked to desync perferctly with just a few quick clicks but I have often lost too much time on this and had a pad parse. Also, on bosses like Grobbulus and other movement bosses you have to re-do it everytime the boss is out of reach for e short moment

Yes but I wouldn't because if you're constantly spamming heroic strike when you have low rage, you will rage starve yourself and miss out on bloodthirst and Whirlwind. I recommend not doing that

I do this, and you should too it is the future of warrior gameplay. BUT u also need non hs bt and ww macro when u are low rage, which won't be often in full raid, but still.
