West Indies scored MAMMOTH total of 315-6 in 50 overs.
Marlon Samuels played a SENSATIONAL INNINGS OF 108 not out and helped West Indies to post such a record total in the final ODI of the series.
Virender Sehwag picked up 3 wickets for India.
In reply India were all out for 180 runs in 36.5 overs.
Yuvraj Singh was top scorer of India and he scored 68 runs.
Jermaine Lawson picked up 4 wickets for West Indies.
West Indies won the match and series 4-3.
Marlon Samuels was announced Man of the Match.
Chris Gayle was announced Man of the Series.

For all those guys who are wondering, Andhra Cricket Association was based out of Vijayawada back then and used to have good infrastructure of cricket practices and matches. This stadium is Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium which was used for multiple games like cricket, athletics competitions etc. Later on Visakhapatnam became a primary cricketing center for ACA and facilities moved on. At the moment, there are two beautiful stadiums under construction and we'd witness international cricket matches there soon in and around Vijayawada. One stadium in Mangalagiri and the other one at Mulapadu which is nearby Ibrahimpatnam..

I still remember this series, i was in 8th class in 2002 and in this series team who did bowling first won the matches before this game, and dravid made the same mistake😁😁😁 won the toss and bowl first. However one day prior to this final game, i told to my cousin the team who will bat first will win the game 🤣.

those days wn ganguly lost all bi lateral and tri series except nat west and one bi lateral wr v dint win but it was tied .... very nice person to have developed solid team but highly unlucky to lift the cups . But he developed a good test side which competed with world best teams and challenged them.
