Paragliding Bali? Make Sure To Watch This First!!

We’ve been to Bali many times but never seen it like this. Amazing! When we were in Nusa Penida we saw one of the Red Bill athletes paraglide of the cliff at Kelingking Beach. I actually had the drone up while he did it so got some really cool shots of his flight.

I was pretty far out when he jumped and didn’t want to come in too close and cause and accident.

Does the wind conditions usually allow you to fly all day or is it preferable to fly in the afternoon??? Most videos I saw pilots are flying in the afternoon. I'm supposing that if you get good conditions during the morning it would be less crowded. Thanks

Hi Paralovo, yes I would say afternoon is for sure the best chance for the right conditions. This was my experience as well. Most days the wind strength was good to fly, but only on some days was the direction southerly enough that I could fly all the way to the west and then come back again. If you catch a day like that.. it's AmazinG, well worth the wait!! 🎉

Awesome! You're welcome =) Well it depends what you are planning to do in a way. If you want to just enjoy the ride and go fly the coastline there to admire it, you would book a tandem ride. A qualified pilot will fly with you together on a larger wing. But if you want to get into it as a sport, you would learn the theory, control the glider on the ground, then start flying just a few meters high on small hills and after that you would take off on your own from higher altitudes. I hope that makes sense! 😃

Been paragliding at this site in the 90's when the coast line was still wild and no bungalows at all. I'd recommend not going there before mid of may as the wind is still not reliable in april!

Hi Iqra, if you are looking to do a single ride, without previous experience, I think it's best to go to the site and speak to them. Alternatively it should be possible to book it in most tourist shops around the island. Also you can try to contact Ketut Manda by phone, I have his details in one of the other comments on this video. I hope that helps, have fun!!

Hi Rami! You mean the paragliding places? For a tandem ride or for going by yourself? Tandem would be paid for, going with your own gear, a very small amount was asked from me at Timbis. At other places in Bali I am not sure... Did you get any more info yourself?
