Manera legal: en la versión Japonesa, colocas el juego en "Free play", después, al iniciarlo, mantienes el botón de insertar ficha y en el panel de personajes presionas: LK, HK, MP, MP, Arriba, el timing de cómo presionar los botones es algo incómodo, pero si lo haces bien, puedes usar a Thanos. Manera "Ilegal": existe un rom llamado "Marvel Super Heroes Boss Hack" que te permite jugar con Thanos al presionar una vez arriba en Spider-Man.
