As someone who lived in my car nearly 2 years (& may soon be returning), I strongly recommend against using your car to charge anything beside small devices like your phone. I used to charge a large Halo battery which doubled as a jump-starter, along w/ several large power banks to keep my phone & rechargeable headlamps powered. This ended up frying the computer of my car, making it impossible to recognize the key fob or start the engine. It cost me around $2k to get this fixed on a Hyundai Sonata, and almost 3 months w/out a car while parts where sourced & installed. Not to mention being forced to trust a sketchy mechanic. Moral of the story? Find a way to charge your batteries at work, the gym, or where ever you go to take showers / wash your dishes. Alternatively, find a way to use a solar battery setup. You do not want to pay for a new car CPU. Trust me.

I’m 58 years old and I’ve lived in my car for a summer. I’m doing it again and it’s a freedom everyone should try. Even for a week or two as a vacation. Just live in the car. You’ll be surprised how resourceful we all as as God provides the way. You can do it too!!!
