I know this is an old video, but I just started watching the rc videos....I dont know why anyone would complain, because you actually take the time to explain everything...the painting process, the ins & outs of rc, the upgrades, and the crawling....I enjoy them all. By far the best out there....I have saved every video of yours so When I get started in rc, I will have some guidance to fall back on.....Thanks again for sharing.

Just came across your videos and feel they are the best I've seen! I'm an old modeler, (71 years old) and new to the RC club. Never thought it could run into as much money as it does $$$$. Can use all the help I can find and your my guy!!! Doing the trx-4 with full scale detail + running gear and such, should keep me busy awhile. Continue the great videos, love the bleeping out!

Amazing work, Chris! I got back into RC about a year ago when my son got a cheap chinese buggy for Christmas. Things have changed since my Tamiya Blackfoot days! Once I discovered Hemistorm videos, I remembered what a fucking awesome hobby this is and quickly got back into it. No more charging a Nicad pack for 35 mins just to get 10 mins run time!
@hemistormrc7 жыл бұрын
Hi Ian, glad to hear you have found a new interest in the hobby. since charging is such a massive pain anymore things sure have improved for the better! Very happy to hear from you and I hope to keep producing content you like. :;)

The nut / bolt / E-clip treasure hunt game is one I play every time I build an RC. At least some companies give you a spare, for which I am always eternally grateful. The rig looks great, Traxxas could learn a thing or two from You and the SBG guys.
@hemistormrc7 жыл бұрын
Matt at the SBG did an outstanding job with his. I wish Traxxas had at least left the windows clear, that would have scored them a lot of points. I hope they will get that right on the Bronco, as that looks like a great body.
@antonioaunion7 жыл бұрын
Nice job, I'm a static modeller 30 years ago, long before having any RC, and I've always been afraid of detailing RC bodies just because of speed and crashes. Maybe it's time to change my mind, thanks to your videos. Keep offending, man, keep on doing it!!!
@hemistormrc7 жыл бұрын
Hoi Antonio, I think that you'd find the trail truck/scale side of the hobby very enjoyable. A great site to check out is scalebuildersguild.com, I'm convinced that coming from a modellers background you can appreciate the craftsmanship displayed and shared there. Thank you for the kind words!

All this knowledge is much appreciated. I'm really confused as to why people have this video a thumbs down at all. There are a lot of folks in the RC community who keep things to themselves when it comes to "DIY" in this hobby. I love to share info and it's great to see others doing so as well. You have taught me a LOT from your videos. And that's why I keep on watching brother! 🤜🏽🤛🏼 If you ever make it to the south eastern part of Germany, please let me know. I'd like to meet you one day.

Chris, two questions. One, what do you use to keep water out of your sensor port on your Castle setup? I just got the same setup in my TRX4 and the sensor point sits right at water level when fording small streams. Secondly, do you know the '79 Bronco body and lift kit will be released? They only say "2018" on the website. 🙄
@hemistormrc7 жыл бұрын
Hi Justin, I don't know when the Bronco will be released but I hope soon. To keep water out of the sensor port I use some dielectric grease on the connections, it works great.

Man you do fun videos, this rig looks great!... If I want to match the color of the lexan body with the plastic hard parts (fenders, grill, etc), how would you paint them since we have to use lexan paint? Would you use primer on all of the parts then use any other paint (not lexan paint)to have all the pieces the same color? Is there such thing as primer for lexan? Cheers keep it up!
@hemistormrc7 жыл бұрын
Hi Christian, shoot it with some Tamiya fine primer first after you degrease it and sand it gently with a fine paper, then resand and find a TS color in the Tamiya range that suits your PS color, and take it from there. I hope this helps you!
