What I like about ultra instinct is that it works perfectly for saiyans. Almost every saiyan scales their power over the course of the battle, slowly getting stronger I assume it's some deep desire for strength, as the longer saiyans fight the stronger they get. Ultra instinct is a form that only came out at the end of the battle when it seemed lost so it would be their absolute last push. Personally though I think they need to add forms for humans or at least a way for them to get stronger

before someone complains, ultra instinct is well y'know, a technique. but Saiyans (or just goku as we see in top and the manga) can use it not only as a technique but a form. if you need proof read the manga and read one of the chapters after the whole tournament of power thing.

Remember when Goku and Gohan trained to have ssj1 as their base form? Yeah the principle is the same, the user would need that much mastery over U.I to use it all the time. Goku can do it with U.I sign because it's just dodging, M.U.I would be harder because he has to let his body to all the work without thinking.

The only saiyan who got stronger during the battle, not in the aftermath is Broly, but he is pretty much is own thing as this point. Saiyans have zenkais, a power boost that occur when the recover from near death situations. That's how Goku came back stronger many times before, like in the Frieza saga.

Everyone hates Jiren because he isn't even a character, he's just a wall of meat that Goku has to punch really really hard. He doesn't have any depth outside of a backstory that is so cliché and lame that I bust out laughing, he is the textbook definition of a blank slate, and he as an enemy is so damn generic and routine. Jiren isn't a character, he's just a hurdle that somehow developed the ability to speak. Same reasons why I used to hate Z Broly, granted he does have a unique backstory compared to most other popular antagonists, but it still just boils down to "Kakarot cried so I hate his entire bloodline and got the gift of permanent roid rage just by being a man baby". I don't despise Z Broly as much as I used to but all my complaints still exist, just slightly mellowed because Jiren now exists and makes me realize that Z Broly is actually decently written by modern Dragon Ball standards.

Jiren is supposed to be a cold, empty, generic wall that doesn't know how to open up because of his past and how that shaped his views on trust. Jiren actively grows as a character during the TOP and learns to trust others. That's literally the selling point, jiren is literally "bland" on purpose for that matter, jiren didn't believe in friendships or anything of the sort. I feel like jiren is overhated. The point the story literally makes is we don't know the guy, the point IS that he is a cold, empty shell. Goku teaches him trust by overpowering him and his ideals. After learning trust he learns to form connections with toppo and the others and comes out of his shell
