Since you can get most of the advantages without making the game look like a potato, there is significantly less difference between ULQ and medium settings. Usually just a few bushes are gone and particle effects go away quicker (except smoke). Now movie settings are a different story, however basically no-one plays on movie settings and half of the graphics settings it activates are actually redundant and could be completely removed from the game without changing the visual fidelity of the game at all. Hell if you want to know what the ULQ advantage looks like for yourself, just turn tree range to min, turn off grass, turn off soft particles and particle density to min, terrain quality to min, and that's it, everything else can go to high or max pretty much (except object shadows, they're redundant and only destroy your fps as the engine freaks out trying to render every shadow multiple times). The difference used to be much worse, ULQ would cull many more trees and even buildings, giving you wall-hacks half the time, and the terrain poly count was significantly lower meaning you'd be able to see through most hills at long range as well. It's one of the few things Gaijin has fixed to some extent over the years, hell most bushes are permanent now and ULQ only culls a few specific spots now (and with each map refresh the invisible bushes are either removed, fixed, or swapped out with different bushes from off-screen) and makes the dust from explosions and gunfire go away quicker. Unfortunately ULQ isn't as fast as it once used to be and intel pentium duo integrated graphics can no longer run this game at all, but with WT mobile there is little reason for ULQ to exist anymore and it's slowly been getting nerfed over the years.

You can also go into the .ini files and selectively change settings, like you could leave everything on high and lower the max distance for drawing grass and destructible walls, or you could lower terrain and grass while keeping vehicles high or vice versa which makes the pay to win bushes really pop out from the rest.

i am forced to play minimum graphics but bc my pc is so bad it isnt really an advantage bc you cant recognise a tank out of 5 pixels at a framerate of 20fps, it is though if your pc is good bc when i look at this video the difference from what i see in game is that its WAY more fluent and less pixelated thus looks like high quality to me

​@@Ww1whiz1914 No its often useful even if you don't already have it loaded as you can shoot your current shot into a wall to switch over also you can switch after hitting them once or killing a different tank. Also HE is very useful for when you can see just a corner of a open top or very thin armored tank as often times APHE wont do anything in such cases but the HE will detonate killing them its also useful against m10s and other similar open tops that have a hard turret front that bounces things and if you can only see part of the turret APHE is useless unless you have a high pen round but once again the HE works. Knowing which rounds to use against which tanks and in which situations is a important skill that improves how well someone does by quite a bit.

In realistic battles it’s just as likely it’ll pop up out of nowhere and you need to disable the gun at the very least, and German spaas especially, they were engineering those to pen tanks too, annoyingly (or any other spaa that isn’t really used as one). Now with the vote on the APHE, if they do change it, HE will be much more useful as the APHE would no longer go in a 360 area, but a more conical shape based on its velocity at the time of fusing.

No I don't need to disable the gun as only times I go for disabling the gun is against tanks that I can't damage normally or if the barrel is sticking out from behind cover. The maps that give me the most trouble are maps with a lot of trees or houses, usually when it is in the case of air games, it takes me directly to the ground but the screen is frozen, while in ground games I cannot move the tank turret. Also the fact that sometimes in air games you can't hear any nearby aircraft, whether enemy or not, only when I'm 700 meters away or less a sound is quickly played from afar until it gets closer and crosses.

@@Akin_Fariasbruh my laptop is a used MSI from 2016 possibly, runs windows ten, and has max graphics of 1080x720 resolution, has roughly 8GB of RAM, tho is likely lower due to my use of it to this point, and its internal card is probably at best a 1000 something (I really don’t know how graphics cards be labeled or what the numbers really mean, all I know is higher is better). But surprisingly I never cleaned it since I got it and used it, which is over 3 years now. Yet I have two dogs that are shedders and the computer currently is located in the back room, behind where my mom does her hair. We also rarely dust or clean that room. Then again, I only did basic clean, and was too lazy to remove the screws on the fans.

This is why I think for multiplayer PvP games graphics settings should not be available to the user. They should be set by the game based on the hardware it detects so that it is running the best graphics it can for a decent frame rate. It's not so much of a problem in Warthunder, but in a game like Squad or Hell Let Loose potato graphics basically eliminates all the foliage and soft cover, to say nothing for the fact literally all foliage is occluded when you aim down optics. Its total trash and lots of "good" players are merely just gaming the rendering mechanics. It should be taken out of their hands completely, and don't try to change my mind if you can't run the game well you shouldn't be fucking playing it. Mald more.

I had been played Wot with my first gen i3 laptop without separate gpu. All setting were on lowest and resolution in 640*480 still gets about 15-20fps maximum but I played anyway.
