Yes, I'm fully aware that this now generally is a hiking channel, but wouldn't you love to drive to the trailhead and relax afterwards in this bad boy? The new 2024 Lexus LM is the ultimate in luxury. It features first-class airliner lounging with two fully-reclining massage chairs, a huge TV, fridge, pull-out tables, and plenty of room for your gear. Each seat is climate controlled with heat or AC.
I was lucky enough to take it out on a short test-drive. It was surprisingly quick for a van. If I purchased one of these, it would not be this "limo" version. I would go with the 6 or 7 seat option. Alas, we were not at the dealership for the Lexus LM....We were actually there test-driving the 2024 LBX (Sub-Compact Crossover), or, as we call it "Baby Lexus," since we already currently own an RX. This one will be shared by my wife's family.
It will be our first hybrid. Looking forward to 60 mpg! It had an excellent ride and handling with enough get-up-and-go, as well as just enough space for us...We are not huge people! With the back seats down, there's definitely room for a Costco run! The car had a very familiar feel to our 2017 RX in terms of features, with a few changes. One notable difference is the lack of shifting into Park. "P" is a press of a button. Secondly, the door handles can be double-pressed or pulled to open.
The LBX had to be pre-ordered and probably won't be available to us until March or April. I'll be sure to give it a complete review and perhaps drive it to a mountain trailhead in Taiwan before it gets too hot! As for the LM, if you pre-order one of those, it's a full two-year wait!
