怪獣部分をなくして、異星人と、遮光器土偶ロボットを中心に、あまり派手でない展開で、同僚の失踪と、謎の連続殺人の真相を追っていく。真相がやっとわかった時点て、ロケット発射！みたいな話が、良かった気はするけど… でも、映画って、スポンサーとか、いろんな人の意向を、盛り込まなくてはいけないらしいから、まあ、このくらいの出来でも、仕方ないのかもねぇ…

結局、言いたかったのは、 "遺跡を観光地化するな"～的な、 これだから邦画はいつまで経ってもダメだな～という感想。 そんな怪獣操作や科学技術や超能力あるのに、ロケットで噴射して出発するという、 反重力の宇宙船でフワッと飛び立つのでよかったやろと言いたくなる。
