It's a little crazy that peter and I only share one of these ten UR plats, and its god damn Tricky Towers, which he did the last challenge anyway XD So in a sense we have 0.

Most of my URs are more grind-heavy than skill-heavy 😅 #10. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - 3.84% - It’s a Final Fantasy MMORPG on PlayStation, so it’s a grindfest that could have been much worse. Fortunately, this PS4 list is specific to the base game, unlike its PS5 counterpart which includes trophies for all of the expansions and additional patches. #9. Dead by Daylight (PS5) - 3.45% - The ultimate love letter to slashers. This game is by far my most played title due to how every new character added comes with three new trophies, making the current stack close to 200 in total. Most of the trophies are just grindy, but there are a few incredibly luck-based and skill-based trophies. I blitzed through the PS5 stack since I had done PS4, and that still took me around 200 hours. #8. Jump Force - 3.20% - I spent my whole childhood wishing I could play all of the anime games Japan got that the West didn’t. And then we did, and I realized that a good chunk of them were abysmal. The Jump games are unfortunately in that category - a combination of tough trophies, tedious requirements, and narrative mediocrity. But I still can’t shake that longing from my youth, and it gives me so much satisfaction platting the type of game whose existence used to be unthinkable on an American console. #7. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout - 2.91% - Funny enough, I earned Infallible and the plat in May 2021 BEFORE the notorious exploit that shot down this game’s rarity. That’s not a flex - I absolutely boosted Infallible on a ridiculously coordinated level. But the timing was just funny. Great game, horrible trophy list. #6. Paladins - 2.12% - I actually have no clue why this game is an UR plat. It wasn’t exceptionally hard or grindy compared to most of the games I’ve played. I would guess it was probably due to trophies tied to its FTP mechanics that utilized a weekly character rotation. But still, cute little game that cost me nothing for an UR plat. #5. Dead by Daylight (PS4) - 2.04% - Platting this the first time was a nightmare. Again, my most-played game, so it was largely enjoyable, but I’ve been with the game at many of its lowest points, and that’s hard to suffer through as a player. #4. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT - 1.89% - Avoid at all costs. Absolutely horrible game that squandered its potential with multiple trophies requiring massive grinds and skill-based achievements. Story is mediocre, online base is dead, match-making times are horrendous, and the combat system itself is just disgustingly unfun. #3. Overwatch - 1.87% - My second most played game, I got burned out long before I finished this and eventually caved and boosted the last trophy I needed with Zenyatta for the plat. I had a lot of fun with the game over the years, but unless Overwatch 2’s trophies are 100% PVE, I won’t be coming back to the series. #2. PUBG Battlegrounds - 1.09% - I wanted to try Fortnite without the building mechanics and I figured this was as close as I was going to get. But the trophies are so grindy and glitchy, and the game itself is so disgustingly monetized that there was little for me to look forward to beyond being done with it. #1. Friday the 13th: The Game - 0.79% - Nothing but my love for horror could have made me stick with this game to the bitter end. One of the most notorious grinds of any PS game, I 99% boosted this in private matches. If you’re noticing a pattern, many of my top ten UR games were largely unfun to me. However, because of that, I’ve become much more selective about the games I play now, and I’m having a lot more fun now with it than I was before. The take-away is an obvious one - play to have fun, not to show off impressive numbers.

I put this video on to play in the background while I was working and I just ended up not doing any work at all 😢 I bought Bound on your recommendation a while ago and I can't wait to play it, but beyond that I'm astounded that we have no trophies in common on your list! I really need to start smashing some games. As for my own URs, I know your feelings on DbD but I absolutely love the game myself and the PS4 100% is mine! The PS5 100% will soon follow, I love DbD, it's so much fun. I've got the classic artificially inflated PS3 GTA V Plat (and am VERY close to the PS4 one too), a few Dead Rising Plats, and the Red Dead Plat! I aim to go for Mirror's Edge soon and an Adventure Time spin-off game that's like 80 hours and a bit crashy but it's got something like 27 UR trophies in it. Absolutely loved the video, but smh Pete I'm trying to work and you're distracting me :(

Lol, yeah I have some PTSD wrapped up in DbD. But that 100% is insane (those Huntress hatchet downs...). I'm definitely not strong enough to push through on that (or on those massive open world GTA V and Red Dead plats). Sorry for distracting you from your work. 😁

My rarest is PUBG. Really doable if you’re into the multiplayer. Many games are filled with a lot of bots so once you have the mechanics down it’s not really that difficult.

But yeah, to participate with my own breakdown: "Sonic Unleashed" (PS3) - 2.18% (2,203 Achievers) - Earned on 07/14/14 "Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention" (PSVita) - 1.71% (564 Achievers) - Earned on 07/28/13 "Mugen Souls Z" (PS3) - 1.71% (114 Achievers) - Earned on 12/31/18 "Arcana Heart 3: Love Max" (PS3) - 1.55% (71 Achievers) - Earned on 03/27/21 "Guided Fate Paradox, The" (PS3) - 1.55% (139 Achievers) - Earned on 05/20/21 "Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten" (PS3) - 1.32% (372 Achievers) - Earned on 05/01/22 "Arcana Heart 3" (PS3) - 1.26% (333 Achievers) - Earned on 03/08/21 "Grand Kingdom" (PSVita) - 1.05% (743 Achievers) - Earned on 08/16/16 "Mugen Souls" (PS3) - 0.85% (84 Achievers) - Earned on 07/18/17 "Summon Night 6" (PSVita) - 0.67% (15 Achievers) - Earned on 02/26/18 Not quite as impressive as yours percentage-wise but I want to say it's pretty decent regardless. As always I think the main thing that stands out are the Achievers. Outside of "Sonic Unleashed", all of them are only at 2-3 digits, if not on the low side as well. Not many people play and platinum these games and really, that's not surprising for multiple reasons. I primarily play niche RPGs so I don't doubt most of these are complete unknowns to the average person. And that's not getting into estimated times (100-200 hours), difficulty (some 7s-9s), and a generational gap (PS3, PSVita), it's no wonder why they'd be so unappealing. Unfortunately, I've come to realize that this nicheness does lead to my profile to get some confused looks since, well, what the heck even are these games. So that's kind of unfortunately sadly.

I still remember the first time I played Sonic Unleashed and how well it captured Sonic's speed, and it felt pretty good, and then it slows down for the God of War punch stuff levels. I am a Sonic Unleashed defender, its not that bad. Getting all the food and trophies isn't great but it's better than '06. RPGs and JRPGs either land in the decently common or UR territory based on name recognition it feels like, and thats definitely a good thing. Neither of us are die-hard RPG fans but we've both dabbled. Props for the Disgaea's, I've heard good and bad things, did you need to level your teams to 999? That might be Disgaea 5

@@MissingCollectible I think every "Disgaea" entry with trophies has one for getting a character to 9999. Except "Disgaea 6" but there's a specific reason for that. Though, really, it's nowhere near as bad as it seems, or as bad as people put it. The series is all about abusing and optimizing shortcuts so that stuff is almost never an issue. It is unfortunately quite misunderstood in that regard but I've given up ever convincing people otherwise. But yes, I'm quite familiar with the series, if that wasn't clear. As the timestamp shows, I actually just finished "Disgaea 4" (PS3) recently, making it my 6th "DIsgaea" platinum in fact. Really, the only entries I have left are the PSVita port of "Disgaea 4" (has different trophies and lots of additional content) as well as "Disgaea 6" which is releasing soon-ish. Needless to say, I'm intending to go for a full set at this point.

That’s a hell of a list dude. I actually just started Xcom 2 the other day. I was paranoid about shut down servers. Thankfully the game only has one very quick and easy multiplayer trophy. I’ll probably end up checking out some of the other games on your list. Here’s my top 10. I excluded 2 repeats. 10. Atari Flashback Classics Volume 1 (0.92%, 103 achievers) Did this one for Platbro’s difficulty challenge a few months ago. I honestly found this one to be a bit overrated in terms of difficulty. I was able to do one of the hardest trophies (for all insectkind) without using the save exploit. 9. Skullgirls 2nd Encore (0.84%, 239 achievers) I love fighting games that have a unique free form combo system and this game exemplifies that perfectly. As is usually the case with hard fighting game plats the combo trials are the true barrier to the platinum. 8. Battlefantasia (0.63%, 177 achievers) Another hard fighting game plat but this one isn’t because of combo trials. Instead the game basically asks you to perform the Daigo parry and beat the final boss of arcade mode at full health. Best of luck if you want to try your hand at this one. I had over a dozen chokes after parrying the boss’ super before I finally got it. 7. Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (0.62%, 314 achievers) It’s Mahvel baby! Where your curly mustache at? Come on, do I really need to explain? Incidentally Doctor Doom’s 10th combo mission (as they’re referred to in this game) is my favorite fighting game combo ever. 6. OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood (0.62%, 1134 achievers) While quite difficult I think this one’s rarity may be a bit inflated because of PS+. A twitch based skating game that requires very precise inputs. The levels are so addictive and capture that ‘one more run’ mindset. 5. Street Fighter 4 (0.62%, 1609 achievers) This was the game that got me back into fighting games after barely playing any since the mid 90s. Another hard combo trial game. I still remember the sense of elation I felt when I finally did Viper’s 3rd trial after many hours of practice. Nowadays I could probably do it in a few minutes. 4. Gran Turismo 5 (0.58%, 4144 achievers) Done without glitches. The Red Bull challenges literally took me years of practice. I could argue that this is my hardest plat ever. It’s a shame that it’s no longer possible considering the 2 online trophies are so simple. 3. Super Street Fighter 4 (0.51%, 343 achievers) I remember thinking after I plat’d SF4 that I should go for this one too, unaware of the hellish grind that awaited me with C to shining C. Just as challenging but not nearly as enjoyable as Vanilla. 2. Persona 4 Arena (0.4%, 318 achievers) I think I remember commenting about this plat in one of your other vids. Think SNK boss syndrome with a hefty helping of hard as nails combo trials on the side. I remember being stuck on Mitsuru’s final combo for a whole day. 1. Super Meat Boy (0.26%, 615 achievers) Let’s just say you captured my feelings in the video.

the entire concept is like some bizarre concept taken too far, like a cook deciding they will try and make hamburgers but with a big slab of chocolate instead of a patty, it's interesting to experiment but when it becomes clear its kinda bad, you should probably stop, let alone add challenges based on skill and how good you are at eating the chocolate really fast. Okay that metaphor fell apart like a tower in Tricky Towers but you know what I meant.
