Regarding the rabbit ears: The number of spell choices are determined when the book drops, not when you pick it up. You had only +1 spell option before picking up the book from one ear. Same with 18:35, you just got the +1 from the dusty treasure but the spell book had already fallen on the ground with a +2 options from before. Regarding the tentacles: They're basically like Starcraft sunken colonies. They "burrow" and hit something nearby. The range is a little worse than Pop, but there's no summon limit unlike with Pop as you saw, with potentially dozens on screen at once.

OH! If you ever want to do more of this game in the future, I found the little sort button on the right end of your inventory to be extremely helpful for keeping the inventory and wands cleaned up.

the tentacles attack the target directly. they don't need to be near the tentacles. if you watch closely when they bend down, a tentacle pops up under the enemies and hits.

I have never seen the random body size change ever make anyone smaller. I am convinced that it is broken and does not function as advertised. "Tentacles are not doing anything": They are not melee, when they bow they send some tentacles underground to hit things on the other side of the map. They are the easiest summon to build around as they have infinite range and homing built in. "Tome of the Endless": What does teh wand spirit do their. The secondary slots cast themselves. Does that just allow it to aim independently?

It didn’t say that it would make you smaller, only that it could change your size permanently.

@@davidjen-hw3cp OK, but if you can only be made bigger then it has no possibility of benefiting you, so why drink it? All other potions are either strictly beneficial or have a chance to be beneficial or detrimental. And it is not funny bad like the castor oil.

i've seen smaller in other patchs so most likely bugged but at least that's still good for butslam man but also with the tentacles unless you get to see em by themselves murdering stuff its hard to tell there doing things

For the spell banning. Butterfly is pretty nice. Their are a load of different ways to make it pretty OP. The inherent tracking is just sort of nice. Shortcuts: My understanding is it is just 4 rooms squished into a single room. They make the runs shorter, but are harder fights and you dont get to pick your rewards, you just always get those 4. "different curses": It is a inconsistent system so worth laying out. Curses (or at least some of them?) have levels just like relics. But while you never interact with the entire stack of relics all at once, you do for curses. For the purpose of removal a lvl 2 or more curse acts as a single curse.

Energized orb is absolutely cracked for BIG mana builds. Because it's pool is globally accessible, stick all your REGEN on it rather than capacity- it's just as good as being on your main wand. You can also stack expansion stones on it since you don't care about the damage, for even more regen/capacity. Whenever I get that wand I usually try to build some crazy chain-proc spell that would normally be way too expensive (like echo, serial, firework, star). I'm fairly convinced that energized orb is flat out the best wand in the whole game. It's ALWAYS worth the slot, but especially in the later chapters vs a random spirit wand that isn't significantly contributing damage anymore.

About Fusion Summon, you don't actually need two equal summon spells, it works with just one spell.

did a fun build the other day that had all the prisims, with split, multy. to just get as many as possible. and then give them various effects like cold, lightning, posion (poison is fun if you also split them due to how fast they hit things)

You can absolutely turn the energized orb into a rapid fire low damage weapon, with expansion stones

Any form of tracking with the bouncing will make sure the bounces are useful and not just bouncing off into nowhere.

The spell option doesnt work retro actively, it only happens next time you got spell, not when the spell reward is already spawned

So, combos are worth more in this game than upgrades or damage ups. i.e., the space increasing stones give you a higher chance to making those combos. Sure, you might reduce damage by 40%, for 40% of 10K is still better than 150% of 200.
