Dont be judgemental guys. Lithuania was wild and cruel in the 90s. Trust me, i was there!

I saw that the tape has "Imkit mane ir klausykit!" written on it, so I typed that into Google Translate. Apparently, it means, "Take me and listen!" That seems weird to me, because it's obvious. It's a cassette tape. Did Lithuanians really need instructions on what to do with cassettes in the 1990s?

@@Pedgerow lol, no. It's more like a word play, a reference to the first ever book written in lithuanian language (Mažvydas "Katekizmas", 1547). First words in the book were "imkit mane ir skaitykit" (take me and read). It's an important phrase for us, like "let the be light" or smth.

@@z0x yup. collapse of the USSR, suddenly everyone wants to live better than their neighbour. gangs, racket, shootings. Police officers with no (or very limited) fuel corruption, inflation etc. But later we have European Union, lol. bandits and morons migrate and we live in peace and harmony in really beautiful villages and towns. sums up pretty much. i dont think i even exaggerated here. oh yeah, and groups like Boney M were singing private concerts for Lithuanian mafia at the time. wild wild east.

The audio channels are inverted and it’s sped up by around 4-5%. I know this since I listened to another rip of this song. 🤓🤓

Laura Šimonytė only released one single because she is an unknown singer, right?
@loveweus6 ай бұрын
Hello, yes, only an album in 1996 (recorded partially in 1995), and if I'm not wrong and it's the same Laura I found online, she graduated from high school that same year.
