ULTRAKILL Demons Explained (ULTRAKILL Lore Act 1 & 2)

The Leviathan makes demons especially interesting to me. The other demons don’t have much insight on how they are initially formed, let alone what Hell Mass even is, but the Leviathan is clear on how it was formed as a result of the Sullen instead of Hell Mass. It makes me wonder how the enemies in Violence will play out, as the Violence layer was originally a layer that included victims of suicide. Would these souls in the Violence layer have a similarity to the Sullen, those who have given up and succumbed to an eternity of drowning?

I'm in love with how Hakita made nearly nothing generic in Ultrakill. (Don't you dare tell me about Heresy, it's still a treat and not some random lava suffering nightmare land) Ultrakill's demons aren't literally horned red dumbasses, instead we get a variety of them with cool background. Maurice is a fucking rock, Cerberus isn't a random three head dog but a fuckin' statue, Idols do not attack you directly but they're still a great threat in battle. Hideous Mass and Leviathan are also cool because of the fact they're soul molded demons because of hell. (Not in a corny way, but a horrifying way) Hakita is one of my favourite game makers yet.

heresy while kinda generic,is fitting..the red sky,black buildings and pilars, lavas, a red bottomless pits. They make the layers menacing and special, Heresy is afterall the final layer for act 2..this and greed are my current favorite layers

Hideous Mass's "hands" with that painting made me think: if the God and His son are touching the fingers, they are protect the demon, and when not touching, the mass could be attacked. This means that when we together with the God, we are fully protected. Deep Hakita, very deep.

I think an enemy that stunts stamina could be an interesting idea. mannequin might do something entirely different but maybe they mess with you when you look the other way. Perhaps they grapple on once they get behind you?

Why does the idol bless other machines, but doesn't do that for V1... As we saw, there's a cannonical priority set on idols for each enemy, so why is V1 not in that list? In terms of lore, that is. I hope Hakita gets to an explanation for that...

@@hypotheticallyenov5594 Hell isn't trying to kill V1. Machines have made a symbiotic relationship with the terminals and with hell itself, both for the seek of entertainment. The destruction of the machines is not the interest for Hell. As the machines are getting rid of that boredom that was flooding hell in exchange for their survival. So, V2 can get idoled. Why wouldn't V1 could? There must be a reason (Beyond gameplay to an actual reason in how hell works). But that would mean V1 IS special, V1 IS different. Something that Hakita suppossedly said to be untrue, as V1 is just another machine, same as SM, Mindflayer, Sentries and V2. Hakita said he's just proving the point about ranks, kinds or power being irrelevant, every living thing can do what V1 can without needing anything special. (Source: Shadoenix's Ultrakill Lore video, with hakita answering questions on Discord). And that is something that is also said by Gabriel to the Councilor in the end of Act 2: There's no species nor origin, vested rank or holy status (...) >We all bleed the same blood

In it sends us a link to some information about the cancelled hell explorations. It's an ARG where it shows a human sending a message to other people. Warning them about what Hell is doing with the machinery equipment (Stealing it, making it dissapear). And it concludes with saying that Hell is doing all of that for pure entertainment (Since it's bored), also saying Hell is a living organism, and they need to stop the expeditions right now. Now: It's obvious that Hell is controlling the terminals to keep sending machines. Wanna more proof? P-Rank system, which is bound to the Prime Sanctums door. The terminal "gives" a rank. If every rank is "P" then, that Hell door opens. Hell is bored, and hell needs machines alive for entertaining itself. Why does the eye 3-2 looks at Gabriel? Because he's the protagonist. Not V1 (Suppossedly!) But even that doesn't discard the fact that, at the beggining, in 3-1, the eyes were looking at V1 (Because he has the highest rank in terminals data, since V1 is, same as V2, a supreme machine) But then at 3-2, an encounter with two supreme beings is about to begin. Hell, for that time, has more interest in Gabriel than in V1, as it should be. And about V2 getting idoled only with cheats, go to Sandbox and take in consideration the table Chromasky has shown us about priorities. Spawn 2 different enemies, then spawn the idol, it keeps having the priority. Every single enemy, even machines, is targeted by the idols... Except for V1. Why is that? I'm wondering... And lastly, I tell you again: Power, purpose (Like military and war one), kind or rank is irrelevant according to what hakita said and what's expressed by Gabriel. V1, being >A mere object< proved to Gabriel and the player that nothing matters and even a cancerous rodent can defeat a third prime soul. And as we see on our gameplays: A mere filth can kill V1. And the filth is just a filth.

I absolutely hate how Maurice is a hard fight no matter where you are pretty much requiring the alt blue shotgun on hand at all times but the leviathan is so easy for a boss. @chroma_Prime From what I've learnt, Hell Energy is the power that Hell itself uses, a.k.a God's strongest creation. Its main applications I've seen are... - Destructive blasts (Strays, and many more) - Light (Hell Energy produces light, which makes sense.) - Reinforcement/Blessings (The Ferryman's Totems buff Demons.) - Demon Creation (Hell creates Demons from blood, "hell mass" and Hell Energy.) There's also a theory of sorts that since Ferrymen's bones turn blue in reaction to holy power, your bones might turn red from Hell Energy, as opposed to Holy. I've heard there's red skulls in the game so it might be a valid theory.
