I feel like the reason the shotgun parrys don't anger swords machine 1) projectile boosting. 2) Swords machine only cares about melee combat. He knows your better at range and he accepts it. He gets pissed when you best him at melee combat with a parry.

fun thing I noticed: apart from all husks being unable to enrage, it’s basically only all the big enemies (that aren’t husks) that are able to be enraged (greater/supreme machines, angels, demons) or just enemies that grant the +BIG KILL style bonus (that aren’t husks) maybe bc ferryman is calm bc he study bible (he literally spares you in 5-2 if you give him a coin that’s how chill he is) and the other husks are just too stupid to enrage (insurrectionist literally doesn’t even have a head to think with)

I may be forgetting if this is exclusive to the UltraPain mod, but if a Guttertank does its melee attack and misses, slips and gets parried, that'll cause it to be enraged for a short while, while also doing a buttload of damage in the process. Also funfact: on Brutal, the Guttertank WONT slip ever, unless the surface it lunges upon is covered in oil from the Firestarter variant of the Rocket Launcher.
