I like to imagine the reason V1 only used his flashlight now is like how Wheatley from Portal 2 was told that if he ever turned it on he would die. The other levels you still had SOME light source, but he thought the flashlight was just a last resort till he used it and realized it was fine lmao

Here are a few tips that may make p-ranking just a bit easier. 1: if you punch an airborne mannequin, it dies instantly. 2: ground slamming a gutterman’s corpse will cause a giant red explosion as well as sending you into the air 3: guttertank rockets can be frozen with the freezeframe and if you ride their rocket back into them, it instakills them and grants a special style bonus. 4: parrying a mine into an enemy grants the [+SERVED] style bonus as well as the parry bonus. However, parrying a mine into the guttertank that placed it will grant the [+LANDYOURS] bonus which grants more style. 5: a rocket that has been frozen for at least one second will now give off a much larger red explosion, making for even larger nukes That is all. probably already known fact: the Earthmover brain IS a Mother Brain reference. the number 1000 in roman numerals is M, which would make it a literal M-THR Brain. you're welcome.

Figured as much. Since there's japanese writing on the signs inside the Earthmover, the 1000 could be pronounced as "sen" also making it Sen-THR, like Centaur

Because that's hardly necessary at all in regular levels??? I really only find a use for it in speedrunning or cybergrind, and most other people could say the same thing

it's rlly only useful in the cybergrind and on certain speed runs, and i was trying to go slow and just take in the levels

Honestly the only things I have against this layer are 1. Guttertanks are kinda annoying to defeat, and 2, the "Earthmover" doesn't interact with you during the battle more than 4-5 times.

V1 is designed to kill these things, also besides a security system it can’t really do much because of how massive it is Guttertanks kinda suck to deal with, my method of whiplash, shotgun, and praying doesn’t work on them

Because it was fighting other Earthmovers, it was literally gonna kill V1 with it's main weapon but was interrupted by another Earthmover.

Benjamin was about to rail V1 at the start using his spear. But our boy Benjamin got hit by another Benjamin at the distance so he revert his attention back to that Benjamin instead.. Benjamin was massive so it cant do much to defend itself from V1 which is small and fast

Yeah I know this, but as for a boss fight it only interacts with with the player directly four times. The beginning where it gets interrupted by another Earthmover, the Defense System, the Idol Section, and attacking the "brain" (The detonation sequence might count for some people but only barely). It's quite a spectacle but it sort of doesn't work as an ULTRAKILL fight. Of course, it's still a lot of fun and I don't hate the fight, and I like what Hakita and the rest of the team were going for.

For guttertanks, there's an easy strategy of baiting them into doing their punch, and then backing off. If they don't hit the punch, they tumble over, can be parried on their fall, and take a lot of time to get back up. They also spam mines, which you can parry for free health lol
