Ultraman 80 / Takeshi Yamato and his students really gives an idea of what its like for Ultras who've developed relationships with the people of every world they visit and protect. 80 understood that he was on Earth for a mission and as such he would ultimately have to leave behind the students he cared for and raised for the time he was among them. 25 years later, only now did he truly understand what kind of impact he had on their lives. How he inspired them to be the best of themselves. He even admits it to Mirai / Mebius, that he was made to realize that those children who are now adults were the things that he cherished the most. And that even though he will long outlive them, the memories he has of them and the time he's spent together with them will always be there, just as how Mirai will always have and will always carry the memories of GUYS along with him.

Technically, there's some situation where he absolutely gonna lost if not for his team or anything related to the plot of the ep.. but you definitely right, having no lost count in your series is something amazing and rare (at least it's not Glitter Trigger Eternity who keep getting weaker the more he appear).. heck, watching his series back.. it feels like he is the most agile out of the ultra brother, he only lack the dismemberment strength of Ace and Leo otherwise he probably gonna wipe the floor with his enemy easily. XD

Takeshi as a teacher only lasts a hand ful of episodes, its really a very small part of Ultraman 80. most of the series focus on him as UGM agent not a school teacher and when he and Yulian leave Earth they only say good by to UGM not to his students. so as his former students said from their perspective he just disappeared one day and only one of them ever guessed why. as he had known all along his teacher was Ultraman 80. Which is funny since the narrator always claimed he would have to leave Earth if discovered but its not until UGMs captain discovers it that he leaves. Which makes him the first Ultraman kicked off Earth by the defense team he secretly joined.

Ive seen every showa Ultraman, and while Ultraseven is my favorite since that is what my father passed on to me, Ultraman 80 would have been my favorite of I would have been shown all of the shows at once without prior knowledge of any of them. It is fun and has a whilesome heroic nature. Some of the best powerup moments I think.

He's my favorite Ultraman. And since I watched Ultraman 80, I was sad that Yamato left the Earth without saying goodbye to his students. This is why he'll make his apology to them. I only wish in this episode his co-teacher and crush Kyoko was there at the reunion, too. Other than that, this would have been a proper ending for Ultraman 80's story. And I'm crying 😢🤧
