小学二年生当時予定の入院で手術をして病床でティガを見ていてこの時代にウルトラマンがやるのかと驚いて見ていたし、ティガの登場シーンや戦闘シーンがめっちゃかっこよくて毎週撮り溜めてもらったのを見てた。それからしばらくして退院して間近でテレビで見ることができた時に泣いたし、こんなにもウルトラマンって感動したのを今でも忘れない。 さらに、学校へ行こうでもティガが出ていたのを知ったり後々知ることも多くてティガはいろんな意味で頼もしかった。 それから20何年経つけど、当時みたいに辛い事があった時はこの曲をお守りにしてるそれくらい無くてはならない存在だし人生の半分を生きてきたって言っても過言では無い。

Going on a nostalgia trip because of the latest Ultraman movie on Netflix. I won't comment on the movie, but something felt missing from the movie compared to the Ultraman I remember I watched as a kid. Of course, the one I remember the most was Tiga, and let me say I was utterly shocked when I found out it was made in 1997. It feels so ahead of its time, and I'm very happy to have grown up with Tiga, alongside Gaia, Dyna and Cosmos. As for what was missing, I can't exactly put my finger on it. All I can say is that the "vibe" was off, it didn't have the character that I fully want to root for. Both human and Ultra.

Like all the rest, Tiga was my first introduction of what Ultraman is all about: from a human transforming into a badass giant of light to fight dangerous monsters.
