Pinned comment you might want to make. The rivalry began from a match in May 1991. We both fought against relegation into second league. Genk won the match on the field of STVV. Since then, all kinds of conflicts and provocations led to the escalation of the rivalry of the derby. In 2010, STVV had a chance to play European football, But they had to play a play off finale against Genk to win the last european ticket, which they lost. The rivalry has been a complete chaos every match since.
