God Complex: A Very Unique Boss | Doom Mod (WIP)

This is a work in progress! Still polishing it, but it's in a good enough state that I can show it. For reasons I won't explain I wanted to make sprites for a portal and ended up turning the portal sprites into an actual boss. Its a unique boss that will be in the Mastermind spawns. It's technically two monsters stuck together, because I wanted the eye animations to play at different speeds from the portal animation. A lot of times while making it I thought it was going to end up being lame... But I think it turned out to be pretty cool. This is the first monster I've made where I actually made the sprites for it myself :D Yay After this I promise I won't make new things and focus on finishing the mod

The phase portal is one of The coolest things i've seen in Doom. Also, i love the change to the freezer weapons, that's going to make them more relevant and useful

I was just going to make portal sprites and experimented a bit with how a portal could look. Google image searched for Cosmos to find space textures for the portal, saw cover art for the Neil deGrasse Tyson Cosmos documentary and then the whole portal idea spiralled into something much much more lol

but it might be worth adding a use for extra runes, because when you have all 3 runes, they start to just lie around может быть стоит добавить применение для лишних рун, ибо когда ты имеешь все 3 руны, они начинают просто валяться без дела for example: a yellow rune could replenish ammo in a legendary weapon. Red Job would be like a berserker. And the green rune restored hp and armor up to 350 например: жёлтая руна могла бы восполнить патроны в легендарном оружии. Красная Работа бы как берсерк. А зеленая руна восстановливала хп и броню до 350

The freezer weapons slow only weak enemies or all types of enemies? All types could be a little too strong, considering the freezer rifle have a fast fire rate and a good dps

Freeze Rifle damage was nerfed a bit to compensate. I think it will be fine against bosses, because it's not going to stop them from firing massive BFGs at you. They will fire a bit slower but their attacks are still very strong All the Plasma weapons have pros and cons now. Plasma Repeater is a bit weaker than the others but you never have to reload it, so you might prefer it sometimes over the Dtech Rifle even tho Dtech Rifle is stronger. Demon Tech Atomizer is stronger than Dtech Rifle but has a shorter magazine so you reload more often. Freeze Rifle doesn't have to be reloaded but is weaker than Plasma Repeater, and it slows enemies. Hope that makes sense! Did a similar rebalance for Explosive Rifle vs Improved Minigun. I don't want one weapon to always be the best

He can put this boss on higher tier spawns so not gonna happend. Instead you can just dont have ammo for most good weapons and youre basicly fucked at this point.
