Surprised you didn’t continue north and cross the Barkley to get home? Good tip on the add blue we had to buy a bottle at the Barkley Road house and it was pricey for sure bring an extra jug to fill as you travel out there in the middle. And Woomera was a miss you guys should have stopped in to the missletown and ignore the WikiCamps comments about the fella who runs the campground, he’s just Australian he can’t help it! Loved it!

Woomera does sound interesting; we will get back there. Thanks for the mention of the Barkley Road House, i am looking at my map of Australia right now and planning the next big trip, we will go across the Barkley Hwy from Qld and up to Katherine we are thinking. A lot of planning to do.

We have crossed the Barkley three times, don’t be afraid to explore Mt Isa either great mine museum at the visitor center. The Barkley Roadhouse just got updated after the fire and is really nice stop over. Tennant Creek has a ruff Outback reputation but is a cool little stop off the Barkley. Katherine load up on beer last cheap beer stop till Broome! The Roebuck Roadhouse another awesome stop !

There's an unofficial free camp as you arrive in - not listed on wiki camps but you can't miss it.

Thanks for the information guys. WikiCamps accommodation costs at Ayres Rock campground are lots more than you paid. They vary up to $80+ some months. Did you have a discount?

Hi, we stayed in Ayres Rock campground for 4 nights. I am not sure if perhaps we got a stay for 4 nights pay for 3 nights deal. We booked a fair way ahead so also not sure it that made a difference to our rate. We paid $196 for the 4 nights from memory. 😊

Hello you guys. Thanks so much for making your videos. As a motorhomer my self with limited experience I was wondering just how much you used the Swifty. Was it worth the effort to tow it around? We have elec bikes for short hops and a bit of shopping but have honestly only used them a couple of times ever. We have 8 meter mh and find we can usually get around in it ok parking etc. But toying with idea of a tow vehicle. What is your opinion ?

Hi there, thanks for the message. We absolutely love towing the car. It was a very good investment for us. We used the car every day in our trip down south, we were able to explore all the beaches, national parks with dirt roads that the motorhome would not have gone on. In our trip to Uluru, we drove every day into the national park, 50ks return to the Olgas in the car. It would have been a pain to pack up the motorhome every day and drive in, although you can obviously do that. We tossed up getting E bikes as well but also thought they would not be great for long trips and shopping etc. In our opinion, towing the car is great for us and it was worth the expense. We needed a car anyway when we moved back into our house as we had sold both our other cars when we moved out. So it worked well to buy a car that we could tow. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. Yes all that makes good sense I agree being able to leave the mh in parked up mode would be great at times. I will keep thinking 🤔 Enjoy your travels 👍
