Sweet spot for me is the projected acoustic drum sound of the different environments you are playing in dynamically placing your drum sound like a mixer.producer would into the bands energetic emotional vibe....great video

On History of Instrument...all the great rock drummers were inspired by jazzers. Carmen, Ginger, Bonham, Watts, etc etc. These two are great.

Damn, I missed this? Ulysses & Hutch (I have plenty of nicknames, apparently) could you do more courses on rhythm that apply to all instruments? Like developing rhythmic intentionality, playing the different parts of the beat (laid back, middle, pushing), and rhythmic phrasing? That's a start, I am sure you masters of the skins and sticks can think up more. I'd be all over that course. My mentor always tell me "develop your inner drummer". We're guitarists.We all gotta be drummers, even if we ain't drummers. Share the fun and tree knowledge :) By the way, I loved that "Art of Swing" course--Ulysses! More people gotta know about Peter Washington and Kenny Washington. They play like they're related--even though they ain't. NYC rhythm section!
