I'm honestly surprised. As time passed I just figured they'd never do it. In part I was ok with that since I was sitting on 2 gacha games and was fine with that. But...I can't ignore this! I loved the anime. Tokai Teio is the absolute best!

3 years and it's going to be self published in the case of Uma Musume so not that long to get it self published at least. Cygames opened recently NA offices or something like that so this is a result of that decision. Their other mobile games were shut down, because of the other companies that published them. Shadowverse self published alive since 2016. As for non mobile games Gran Blue Fantasy Relink is one of the best Rpgs released recently as well. If this makes sure Uma Musume will hopefully find sucess globally I'll wait as long as it takes.

As great as the translations and as much effort as the people behind them put, I have to say they were rough. Hearing Vodka drop a F bomb in her story was insane, and I was like "there is no way she said that in Japanese".

The translation will be coming from Cygames directly. Some worry about Cygames America because they're from California (understandably), but they have no role in the translation process because their only purpose is marketing and advertising.

CN failed and KR isn't in a good position I believe (from what I last heard), so Cygames decided to pick English speaking countries as the next audience to roll out the Gacha to. Hopefully it does well.

Maybe the reason HBR is showing signs of a global release is because Visual Arts is now a subsidiary of Tencent. Well, that was the reason some people left HBR. Considering that even KEY's new visual novels are not that much talked about even in Japan, the fan base may have been seriously losing interest.

It's dead on arrival because nobody is going to roll on powercrept banners and the powercreep in this game while reasonable due to steady implementation, is massive over a prolonged multi-year period. They will have no means of recouping their costs because all banners will be able to have their usefulness determined that much ahead of time. I predict a lot of censorship as they had to do it for TopGun but also censoring many themes/words in the JP version and also the really good physics engine with the busty horsegirls. They should not have bothered with a delay of over three years as the min-max players will make things hell for those playing casually whereas the Japan one has most people on equal footing due to unpredictable new scenarios coming constantly, with new rules and such. I do not trust many elements of the narrative of certain horsegirls to survive a localised release.

If anyone actually trusts them enough to start since it's Cygames, make sure to only roll when you have enough gems to trigger the trade, get Supercreek's support card, it's viable from Day 1 till now as the most competent Stamina card for its gold skill. When farming genes, make SpecialWeek as the base parent for everything you make. Getting 1100 in a single stat gives you greater chances of getting blue gene 3*, inheriting SpecialWeek's green skill is a good choice for positions outside of escape (1st position) runners. Affinity with breeding/creating horses is everything, make sure to do the exact same rotation throughout parents and grandparents to get the highest affinity, this increases gene inheritance stats and skill hints. This means doing triple crown and the seasonal G1s above all else, no matter how good the training is. This ensures the parents are the best first and foremost so when you go about making your serious racehorse, the procs will almost raise your horse for you.

Cygames America's only purpose is advertising and marketing, they have no power over the translation and localization at all, as far as I know. The translation will come directly from Cygames themselves, and this hopefully means we won't see any sort of localizer slop (I could maybe see it happening to Daitaku Helios, due to party people speech not really having an English equivalent). I highly doubt there's gonna be any censorship at all given how Uma Musume is pretty tame compared to most Gacha games out there, and the fact that Cygames doesn't have Crunchyroll and Sony breathing down their necks with their "global standards" bullshit. Most idol games are about as risque if not more than Uma Musume, and their costumes haven't been edited. I could see Mayano Top Gun and El Condor Pasa receiving name changes due to potential legal problems with copyright, but I'd like to hope this isn't the case.

@@Taneuma_563 the company doesn't matter, with how long the game survives for. and even if it does last longer then 6 month's it'll still be subject to a closure, heck Priconne, didn't last long, and even other games like rays of the rays, it eventually closed down. depends on the Playerbase, as most JP players will likely still continue to stick with their version, and majority of the ENG playerbase might not even be interested in it.
