UMAREX CP88/CP88C PISTOL COMPARISON REVIEW 27/08/2023

Shooting review comparison between the Umarex CP88 and its larger brother the CP88 Competition. 10 Yards, 12.5 & 15 Metre targets using Webley VMX 8.18 grain domed pellets.
Muzzle energy with the VMX 8.18 grain pellet, average 8 Shots:-
CP88:- E/AVG 2.27 Ft/Lb , V/AVG 354 FPS , SPREAD 11 FPS.
CP88C:- E/AVG 2.63 Ft/Lb , V/AVG 381 FPS , SPREAD 8 FPS.
Two cracking pistols that are more accurate than me, but would be even better with a much tighter sight picture.

A good review 👍 I know the CP88 Comp very well having had one on long term loan from my Bro-In-Law. They’re excellent pistols and this one has been very reliable. I normally shoot holding it with both hands, arms out straight. Those sights could be a bit better I agree. Takes a while for me to get my eye/aim in if I haven’t used it for a while. It’s more accurate than my twenty two year old Makarov. Thanks for another super review

DA? -Yes! I love shooting DA with my CP88C. Ithink the trigger is really good on it - no matter if shooting DA or SA. Mainly just shoot RWS Meisterkugeln pellets with mine though. Truly a model to recommend if out for a NBB pellet pistol.

Some very accurate shooting there! I've found my CP88 has become more accurate over time. Would that be due to the way the barrel wears? I doubt it's down to my ability improving!

Rifled barrels do Lead in with use which would improve their accuracy. Plus you will improve yourself as you get used to the trigger and sights of any airgun.👍
