Umarex TP50 Compact, Problems

I like the size of this marker. Mine has the same problem opening after firing as well. My favorite is still the HDP 50 regular size one.

Yes its a cool pistol. To bad it opens ater every shot. Maybe rubberbands are the only solution? I agree. The normal HDP50 is way better.

I fixed that problem with mine , what happened with mine was after dying the frame it changed the way it closed and did the same thing yours did . I bought a low power heat gun warmed up the little tabs on the flipping part of the Handle , held it with needle nose pliers till it cooled and works perfect now Off course be careful But closes better now than before

Thanks. I did that also but it didnt help. I fixed the buckled detent so it cant be the detent making the issue. 🤔

Yeah, I've had a lot of bad luck and problems with the Umarex quality control too. Many guns. Also their consumer service. Their guns are cool when they work right.

Try to tighten the screw down at the front of the launcher so that it pinches the trigger guard down more tightly.

Thanks for the info, but I have tinkered a lot with this pistol. It dont help. The detent had folded also. I have now fixed the detent but the triggerguard still drops down when shooting. Nothing seems to help with this pistol. Thightning the screws didnt help either. I will just use it as it is.

The magnet was a fantastic remedy 👏🏼👏🏼 till it lasted. Mine stopped working. I used it once to film one video and now it just stopped shooting 🤷🏻‍♂️ I guess they are worth what they’re worth Great video as always Maestro!

Very good idea with the magnets, mybe some stronger ones?. My tp50c also has a little loose triggerguard. When I disamble it and built it back, I tightend the srew in the front very hard, maybe a bit before oversrew it 😬 but from this time it holds better, but not perfect. New models often have some problems, cause of this I want to wait, but I want it so much :D For my small pistol the hd24 aluballs are the best, but I test not so much. The hd24 steelrubberballs gave without valveblock 14J, with alu 16J, with polymer or rubber less. I ve got the 7,5J version. Maybe a longer barrel would be nice, but than the pistil isnt small any longer ;) I like it, but the HDRs are better and much powerful with modifications.

doubt you will read this rune seeing this vid is 1 year old but I had the same issue with the clip. a heat gun gently on the male clips and gently pushing them out works perfectly. love the vids ,you are the original OG ( old time gangster) lol keep it up !

Is this an original black version or did you dye the orange part black? I see many people dye the orange top black with fabric dye. During this process you warm the dye to a boiling temperature and submerge the plastic part for 5 minutes while stirring. This can impact the fitting and the intergity of the plastic.

Thanks for you excellent videos. I have a question and need help!!!!! I have this compact model and there is a "Pepper Ball" jammed between the loading ramp and barrel breech. I've banged and thumped and tried sending the cleaning rod down the barrel to dislodge it... All has failed. Any Ideas??????

Thanks my friend. Iam glad you like my videos. Hmm. Remove all the CO2 from the pistol. That should make the bolt retract back into the valve. If that dont help you must open the pistol up and clean out the gunk jamming it. But try remove the CO2 first. That might fix the jam. Good luck

If you still have the trigger issue. You might want to try using Hook & Loop (Velcro) fastener. That should hold and it's cost effective.

Hey Rune! It is a pity that the compact pistol opens after each shot. I hope Umarex admits its mistake. I watched one of your videos and saw how you made an HDR 50 restrictor from a CO2 canister. Is it efficient or not? Can you recommend this? And what is the diameter of the hole in this homemade restrictor?

Hi Alex.Yes its very sad. Hope I figure out a way to fis the issue. Tha homemade restrictor from a CO2 canister works great. I used a punsh and gently hammered and closing the hole. I have ca 1mm size hole in it now. Seems to be a good size for power. Cut the canister ca 12mm wide. and then file down. The right size is ca 11,5mm. Good luck 🙂👍

I think the 7.5 version is actually like around 9 joules because it was a self defense gun but we with 8 gram CO2 it ain't that good with mods with like 5 shots compared to 20 or so and the guard may pop open because to much pressure in mod

I guess it was the breach seal/detent on my pistol that caused the guard to drop down. The seal was folded and broken from the factory, so CO2 blasted down into the magazine and guard erea causing the guard to drop. I have sendt it back....

Wow what were they thinking? Who approved that trigger guard design? Not a good design at all. I can see how that would get very annoying very fast! Maybe you could add more magnets? The rubber band was a clever trick but you shouldn't have to do things like that with a new marker.

Its not nice, but maybe put a rubberband over the gun 🤨 Edit: the last few weeks I modify my swedish FX .30 PCP Rifle. Great quality, powerful, accurate but also not that cheap as the Umarex T4Es 😆

The good old rubber band. But good old Umarex should be ashamed. To put a non functioning product on the market is truly bad. They must have know. Take them to the Courts Rune lol. Or 2 magnets. Which will become your "intellectual property" $$ Maybe.

Rubber band is the king LOL 🤣. I suspect a leak downwards from the chamber erea, and this air/co2 blast kicks the guard open. Cant say for sure but I guess thats why...🤔. Maybe more magnets is needed 😆

You have to use two high powered magnets. The small watch battery size. Place one on each side. A single magnet and piece of metal isn’t enough

@@runerebel8441 I used two small magnets on one side and two on the other side four total. The magnets are called Neodymium Disc Magnets 8mm x 3mm. Use Gorilla Glue to secure. As a note, I used crazy glue first for a quick dry then gorilla glue around. The end result works and my HDP50-C is modified to on average 18joules and it still holds decent round after round.
