I found a way to fix it!!! I put the umbrella upside down and put both my hands on the handle. And i just pushed it down as hard as i could, and it worked. No need to hold the button

YALL I HAVE THE REAL SOLUTION FOR THIS: Step 1: put the umbrella face down Step 2: gently press the handle Step 3: gently close it but like very fast you need to close it very fast but gently you dont need to press with full power gently just real fast

I managed to make it come down but the white string/cord (?) sticking out from the top cannot be fixed with the proposed methods in the comment section. What I suggest is to manually fix it by dismantling the umbrella and probably pull the string somewhere along the lines or just go to like a two dollar shop and buy a new one.

Guys. I have tried closing it really really fking fast against the floor, and after around 100 something tries, it worked 😂 I was able to use it for a couple of months until it happened again, and i did the thing again. Sometimes u can get pissed that it doesnt work, but trust me just keep trying, and on maybe the 500th try it might work for u, or the first 10 if youre luck. Trick is: close as fast as u can against the floor. (Ur hand might hurt a bit after doing it a lot)

Let me tell you. 😆 My girlfriend's umbrella broke after about 5 mins of ownership and the company we bought it from asked me to send a video. Using KZbin and sending a link seemed like a good idea but I guess I left it public and didn't expect anyone else to see it. I mean, just look at the state of me - I've got the morning hobo look and the kids are going mental in the background. Anyway, the number of views and comments have provided great amusement and I got a free replacement umbrella shortly before fixing the one in the video (brute force I think). Well I guess that explains your rather odd choice of youtube content. I was hoping for a hint on how to fix a stuck umbrella. My grandkids went to Hong Kong on holiday and got caught in a downpour. Some old guy came strolling by, gave them his umbrella and disappeared. When they got back home the grandkids gave it to their grandma. Rather romantically we decided that this umbrella has been all over the world with a hundred different owners. Grandma had it a day and broke it. I suppose we should be pleased you weren't sending a complaint video to Viagra!
