Been an umek fan and umek track collector for over decade and a half. When I was 16 yr old djing proms and homecomings in usa long before house was cool I was opening with SLAP by umek that had the killer bass. Then I follow it up with some Alan Fitzpatrick- trendy wendy and after those 2, ppl would starting getting Crunk subconsciously cuz they never heard sound like that then when they became aware it was different for them they would start requesting country and the cha cha slide lol

tribal hardgroove tech is makin a comeback for sure... check out mutual rythm records from stuttgard .. chlär, nicolas vogler, alarico, marcal, jörg henze, annē... eevryrhinf from gene richards lately .. nicolas vogler is playin NEW and old tribal and releases a bunch... i like almost all of his stuff comin out... im super stoked on trival and faster paced no-nonsene techno is makin a comeback... and more crrative sounddesign... so bored of as u say "ballroom" boretech... rudosa - back in da dayz jimi joel - so uhm

Hello Umek, I’m 43 & used to go out raving in the early 2000’s. I used to love it when you came to play in Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪 so many good times. I also had quite a few of your tunes on vinyl.
